Description An Experiment's Salvation: Chapter One- Runaway to the Mind

Part One: You Don't Look Like a Gardevoir.

Dear Mom (And Dad if he's home),

I got my sixth badge! Yes! The one in Fortree City! I forgot what the Gym Leader called it. I'll cal it the Flight Badge, because it's probably better that what it's actually called. Oh! Also, I got a Gallade since the last I talked you you! It's awesome how Pokemon and Evolution Stones that were thought to be in a single region are now spreading around the world! But there's still not very many Ice Types. It sucks. Oh. Cyn says hi.

Sorry about the snail mail. The phone at the Pokecenter is busted.

Love ya!,
Brendan, the greatest Trainer evah!

PS: No dad, I haven't found a girlfriend yet, stop nagging. I'm only 14.

The teenage boy folded up the paper he had written on and placed it into a white envelope. He folded the flap into the mail holder and placed it into the local Pokecenter's mailbox. The boy was in a strange set of clothes, even for someone of his profession. What stood out the most was his white beanie with a green rim. Many people mistook the cap as his real hair. He actually had dark brown hair underneath the hat, but he rarely took it off, even in the shower. The rest of his wardrobe was weird also. His tee-shirt was a red and black color scheme, as were his gloves and shoes. He wore long black pants, with grey shorts over them. He had a emerald-green backpack slung around his shoulder. His ruby red eys scanned the area.

He was in the lobby of a Pokemon Hospital, also known as the Pokemon Center, or Pokecenter for short. The teen, who was now sitting at a red and yellow table, looked to his side. A tall red and yellow creature with thick legs and a beak was sipping on a cup of soda. The creature was conciderably tall, about six feet. "Blaaaaaaze." It sighed in refreshment as it sipped the soda.

"Cynder, you're a Fire Type. Why do you drink so much liquid?" The kid asked.

The creature srugged it's shoulders and continued to drink.

The kid sighed right as a nurse called his name from the front desk. "Mr. Brendan?! Your Pokemon are healed!"

"Gotta get outta here! Gotta get outta he-" "KYAAA!!!"

"Come along nicely and we won't hurt ya!"

"Stay back you beasts!"

"Now who are you calling a beast, ya mutant!"

"STAY BACK!!!"

KTRCTCHKT!!!

"Gah! I can't see!"

"Scout! What's going on over there!?"

"Argh! ...The target got away sir!"

"Damn! Everyone regroup! We need a new plan..."

Brendan was walking down a forest path called Route 120. For the first time in ,what the locals told Brendan, months, the route as cloud free. No rain, no overcast, nothing! The aspiring Trainer wanted to get to Lillycove before the dry spell wore off. A Trainer's job is to go around the land, collecting badges, gaining new friends, and capturing the creatures called Pokemon to battle in friendly compitetion.

After a few days of walking through extremely tall grass and falling in puddles much deeper than he thought they were, he saw the tall skyscrapers of Lillycove City. "Thenak Arceus! I'm finally he-What the?" He interrupted his cheer when he saw a perculiar creature in the road.

It's most noticable feature was a long dark navy colored flowing gown that was attached to it's waist. It's maroon hair was short and crecent shaped from the side. It had a yellow jewel on it's forhead. It's sharp white claws glistened in the sunlight. There were also small pointy red ears poking out from behind the spikey appendage on both sides of it's head. The creature was laying on the road, unmoving.

"Is that...A Gardevoir?" Brendan whispered to himself. He recalled when he fought a Gardevoir once. Gardevoirs had green hair and white gowns. And they didn't have a jewel on their heads or claws. Or small red ears. He walked over to the strange creature and gasped when he saw a puddle of blood seeping from underneath it. He rolled it over to see a large gash that went from shoulder to shoulder. "Oh man!" The Trainer paniced. "Whaddoidowhaddoido!?" He hit his head, hoping for some inspiration, then snapped his fingers when he thought of something truely ingenious. He tossed a red and white sphere onto the creature. The ball opened up and the Gardevoir-esque creature was transformed into a red light. It was sucked into the ball, which shook a few times before finally settling down. Brendan walked over to the ball and picked it up. "Time to take you to the Pokemon Center!"

A nurse with light red hair walked up to Brendan in the waiting room of the Pokecenter in Lillycove City. "Mr. Birch? Can you please follow me?" Brendan looked up at the nurse.

"Uhh...Sure." He stood up and followed the nurse into the back room of the center. After a bit of walking, they ended up at a large window with a door next to it. Brendan looked through the glass and saw the strange creature on a hospital bed with needles sticking in parts of it's body. It was sleeping soundly, with a large, blood-stainedΒ Β bandage across it's upper chest, above the spike. "What is it?" Brendan asked himself.

"I'm not too sure." The nurse answered. "It looks like a mix between a Gardevoir and a Weavile. And looking at it's ears, I'd say it's a she." She then turned to Brendan. "How did she det so badly damaged anyways?"

Brendan thought for a second. "I'm...Not too sure. I just saw her on the outskirts of the city, all bloodied, and captured her so I could get her here as fast as possible."

"It's a good thing you did." The nurse said. "Any longer, and she'd have died from blood loss." She looked back into the room with the sleeping creature. "She's healing a suprisingly fast rate. In fact..." As the nurse trailed off, the creature opened her eyes. "Just as I thought!" She chuckled to herself. The then looked back to Brendan. "She's your Pokemon. You go see her. But make sure she doesn't move too much. She's still not fully recovered." The nurse then left the room, and Brendan walked into the room with the creature.

"Hey there." Brendan whispered kindly to the strange Gardevoir creature.

Suddenly her eyes shot open and she tried to jump out of the bed. But an electric shock came from a wire hooked to her arm and she slumped back into the bed.

"...Eep." Brendan muttered after seeing this. "I guess there's an anti-fleeing sensor somewhere." He assumed.

"Now what will you do to me Human?" The creature spoke with a meek voice.

"What do you me-DID YOU JUST TALK!?!?" Brendan shouted in shock. Hopefully no one heard them. "HowdidyoutalkPokemondon'ttalkbecausetheyjustcan'tImeanthismakesnosenseandawesomeatthesa-MMPHH!" His mouth was closed shut by the creature's hand.

"Shut. Up." She whispered and took her hand away from his mouth. "Apparently you aren't who I thought you were, Human. Now go away before I get angry."

Brendan just stood speechless. "...B-B-But I-I-I captured you. You're my-y-y Pokem-m-mon now." He stuttered, still in shock.

"...So I was captured...By an idiot?" She laughed at her insult to the Trainer. "Well, better than being in the wrong hands...I guess."

"...Heeeeey." Brendan whined. "I am not an idiot." He shook his head and stopped pouting. "Anyways...I need to ask...What the hell are ya!?"

"Something that doesn't deserve life, that's what." She thought depressingly. "I'm a Gardevoir and Weavile hybrid with a bit of Human Scum DNA mixed in." She answered. "My name is Kurse."

Brendan stood in more shock. "...How the hell did THAT work out!?"

"...I'd...Rather not talk about it to a Human like you." Kurse said as she faced away from her new Trainer. "It's bad enough that I have no family, but now I'm a slave to a pathetic life form."

Brendan ignored the insult and looked sadly at the, what he now calls, Gardevile. "You...Don't have any family? That's sa-"

"I don't need your pathetic sympathy!" She spat and faced her new Trainer. "In fact, I'm wondering why I don't just use my powers to just choke you to death right now!"

Brendan was getting a little scared. "Calm down. We don't need any trou-" He was interrupted again by Kurse.

"That's all you Humans ever do! Cause trouble!" She shot back. "Just...Go away." She sighed and layed back down.

"Fine." The white capped Trainer said as he walked out of the room. "But...Just to let you know, you're my Pokemon now. And one way or another, I'll get you to be happy." He grinned and flashed a thumbs-up before completely leaving the room.

The setting sun was shining on Kurse's face. Her maroon eyes seemed clouded with anger. "...Humans...I wish they'd all just jump off a cliff and die..."

I'll have to reserve judgement for now; a single chapter isn't usually enough for me to say anything definite.
Hm, Gardevile seems mary-sue-ish, so be wary as you write.

Oh, and while it may just be a typo, Birch does not have a 'T' in it.

...Thank you for pointing out the typo. I thought I had that down...Ah well.

And trust me, Kurse will be far from mary-sue as the story progresses...I hope. XD
