I love Black Cat, and Sven is definitely one of my favorite characters; similar to Sokka, Sven is completely outclassed by protagonist Train in terms of ability, but he still manages to keep up throughout the series based on his own brains and unique abilities. He's actually one of my favorite "partner" characters in that way, because he's just so along for the ride. Sven knows what Train is capable of and he's mostly content to let his partner steal the show and provide back-up where he can. I still have never actually seen the anime, but I wouldn't expect him to be too drastically different vs. his manga counterpart.

And I just think his design is really cool! He looks great in the white suit, I love the awesome yet impractical nature of the attache weapons case, and he's even got green hair! My hands are tied on this one.
