SHOWDOWN~
I honestly don't really know. I was just thinking how Ame and Legzard are kind of similar (green bangs, yellow eyes, and a tendency to dress in fetishy outfits) and since I'd been meaning to show both of them some love for a while, I thought It might be fun to do a little throwback to this classic staredown. Only, once I got that in my head, I couldn't stop myself from including the redheads as well! And believe me, if I'm gonna draw something stupid, I'm gonna go balls-out!
Why are they all in dresses? I don't know, I guess because I'm a girly man who likes to draw women in pretty dresses.
And I'm okay with that.

FUN FACT: I saved the original and let me tell you, swapping back and forth quickly, it's hilarious to see Nala & Nilla bobbing up and down in the background while Amethyst & Legzard stare at each other with wanting eyes (another change I see you made, heh.)

HA! I just tried it myself and I see what you mean. That is good fun.
Though the shine on their eyes moving wasn't intentional; I must have accidentally moved the layer somehow. In fact, if you look closely, there's a rough edge on Legzard's that wasn't there before.
I'll have to fix that XD

And thanks! I wanted everybody to be sort of stylized but still fit together. I also wanted everybody to have a different profile but I wasn't as successful there. Oh well. I had a good time with it. It was one of those drawings that just sort of happened.
