Wait... what does that have to do with them being stupid about finding out that someone faked their death when there is DANG GOOD REASON to do so? In any case, she was buried.
Now, the bad guy exhumed her, then Celestia burned the coffin to prevent the use of (I suspect) necromancy. Neither of them cared to check inside apparently.

Exactly. They shouldn't blame her for protecting them. The blame should be put on the ones responsible who put them through this whole ordeal and themselves for not considering that its Twilight time of need. She has done everything to protect them when queen chrysalis was threating equestria, even thought they were still arrogant about it.

I can understand why she pretended to die looking back.(well can't say that's actually her) with an enemy you know little about, and one especially that powerful. You can never tell if he's listening or not. Why does it feel like there was something forgotten? Oh well.

The Element of Honesty is upset that Twilight was less than honest. Quite understandable. I would expect that the Element of Loyalty would be the first to try to stick up for Twilight's decision, though.

I hope Pinkie and Fluttershy will stay with Twilight and hug her, that Rainbow and Rarity will give the lavender unicorn a chance after cooling down a bit, and that Big Mac will reason AppleJack. They will have to mend their battered friendship and reunite if they don't want to be bucked.

I love how realistic everyone's reactions are. Applejack's was understandable at the very least. I'm honestly glad it didn't go the cliche route by having them forgive Twilight right away. Makes for an even better story. Kudos Metal!

Yes. And even then, she must do what is right. Because there is a difference between lying and not saying anything. Lying is when you twist the truth to your own advantage, making others believe that lie in order to win in a farce crusade. And in Twilights case, not saying anything in order to protect the people she loved all her life, is worth risking. Remember: she never had any friends, except spike, to begin with.

Only a true friend can risk the love and trust of their friends. Twilight only did this to keep the ones responsible for her attack from hurting her friends too much. Why did you think she did this? Remember Flutter shy? and Applejack they couldn't do anything, at least not too much. Twilight knew if she didn't do the things she did, then they'll keep coming for her and endanger everyone else she knew and loved. She has got to be the bravest pony ever to live in all of equestria. True, she is not porud of what she did, but she would rather see them alive to the very end than see their names on a grave marker.
