I have another problem..
With the comment portion...
Wow, great artwork! This wonderful piece of art has been featured here: [link]
===
Promote other artists' work with !
That link takes me right back to the persons photo I am commenting on.

You have to use this function on your own photo, not on the one you're featuring!

Ok, I'm trying to find out why is the installation procedure from userscripts.org not working. It works if you install it manually by copying the code into a new user script, but I still need to learn about userscripts... please be patient, it's my first script

i misread what it did i thought it was a hidden comment service and i was wondering who hosted the comments
but after looking at the code its simply a host-read script

Yes, it just fetches information from DA pages and formats them in a useful way for the DA link system users! Thanks

Hmm, I try to explain: DA link system is a way of sharing deviation and promote other artists' work. It works this way: when you upload a deviation, you link some deviations by other artists into your deviation comment. Without this code, the process of going to the deviation page, getting the needed info, copying and pasting them back into your own deviation was long and tedious. These scripts allow generating the needed code - to be pasted into your deviation comment - automatically, by using a firefox plugin called Greasemonkey. It allows executing javascript code in the context of the page you're visiting. Is this enough? Thanks for stopping by!

Glad you like it It could be improved further, maybe writing a better description and detailed howto about installing it, but I'm not very confident with writing documentation so I leave this work for someone else

A detailed how to would be INCREDIBLE! I only know as far as...
1) I have a monkey on the bottom right in Firefox
2) Click 'INSTALL' in other user scripts I've seen around dA and www/userscripts/com or whatever.
3) Done! Should show up in the monkey list!
Perhaps when you have the time and wish to, you could append your artist's comment box to let morons like myself know how to install it.
I tried the 'New user script' you mention to Kathy. Box pops up, my knowledge pops out!
Doesn't matter when or how I get to use this, I am eternally touched by the fact that you would take the time to do this for all of us.
Salut!

I don't just like it, I love it! And yeah, I need to figure out how to install it. So far I've only had scripts that Greasemonkey automatically installs for me. Never had to put the code in myself. But I really want to use this so I'll figure it out.
Thanks again!

In my version of greasemonkey, you just have to right click the monkey face on the lower right of Firefox, click "New user script" and follow the instructions... tell me if it works for you too
