Description
Jason, probably the most embarrassing of all the Greek heroes. Known for mainly two things: being the leader of the Argonauts, and for rather stupidly cheating on his vengeful and super murder-y wife, Medea.

Despite being the leader of the Argonauts (a collection of the best Greek heroes), it was only by designation rather than actually earning it. 15-year-old Jason started off his quest to reclaim his father's throne by unexpectedly winning the favor of Hera by assisting her while she was disguised as an old beggar lady. After being given a quest by his evil uncle in order to prove his worthiness of ascending to the throne, Hera decided to help Jason out by putting out a call for the best heroes in the land.

Many heroes answered the call, and since this was technically Jason's quest, he was made their leader (to the chagrin of some of the others). It was mostly thanks to their skill that Jason made it to his destination of Colchis to retrieve the golden fleece, and it was all thanks to the magic spells of Medea that Jason was able to get said fleece. Yet, in spite of this success, Jason's uncle declared he would never give up the throne to his nephew... which resulted in Medea murdering him, with her and Jason forced to flee to Corinth in exile, where they married and had two sons.

And then Jason did the stupidest thing he could ever do: not only cheat on his wife with the Corinthian princess in a bid to finally become a king, but also cast Medea and their sons aside. Medea made certain not to let this slide, thus resulting in the deaths of the king, the princess and their two sons.

Jason tried to curse Medea and declare that the gods and the ghosts of their children would avenge him, but Medea was only too glad to point out that *HE* is the oathbreaker and the adulterous one here: the former which Zeus despises, and the latter which Hera loathes. Thus, Jason had lost *ALL* favor he ever had with the Olympians, and he spent the last sorry year of his life in disgrace, loneliness and shame as a pariah...

...until he, while sleeping, was crushed under the stem of the rotting Argo (the ship that once carried him and the Argonauts) when it fell on top of him, killing him instantly. He was only 27 years old.

For Jason, I had some trouble coming up with what type of species he should be, since he's not really associated with a specific animal. I finally decided to have him be a ram, since his most famous feat was acquiring the golden fleece of a winged ram. Plus, I figured this would make for an interesting contrast between him and Medea: they're both rams, but he is noticeably normal while she is obviously "special." Medea was the one with the true power... something Jason was too proud and too stupid to realize.
