Description
Last night, I suddenly got the urge to draw the Road Rovers in the X-Men costumes. The urge was so strong, I couldn't resist it.
It started when I imagined Colleen dressed up as Rogue, and from there I started imagining who the others would be dressed up like. Blitz was an obvious choice for Wolverine, and after some thought I realized Hunter would be Gambit and Roger would be Jubilee (poor Roger
). At first I was going to make Exile Beast, but then realized he'd be more suited for Cyclops, given their eye-beam power. I then decided to make Tsunami Beast, given how they're both sort've the mentors of their respective groups.As you can see, Colleen quite enjoys being dressed up like Rogue, while Hunter, Exile and Blitz seem to enjoy her being dressed like that even more.
Lol! As for Roger, at first he was put out at being in Jubilee's costume, but once he saw Blitz in Wolverine's costume, he forgot about being unhappy and devoted his time to snuggling Wolverblitz (or Blitzerine? ). Tsunami is more distracted by the change of his fur color, though.Tsunami: Why am I... *blue*?
Also, Gambit's outfit was easily the hardest to draw and to color. Its such a weird costume. The second hardest was Cyclops' costume, maybe followed by Rogue's costume (and this makes me realize how hard it must have been to animate all those costumes, and I hope the artists got paid a lot for their efforts!). The rest of the costumes were relatively simple (I was amazed at how easy it was to draw Wolverine's costume, and because Roger is standing behind Blitz I didn't have to worry about a lot of detail; and Beast, well, I think you all can guess that his costume was the easiest to draw, ROFL!).

Ow wow! Never thought you'd do something as unexpected and zany as this! But I like it! Yeah, I can definitely see Colleen in Rouge's outfit. And I always saw a bit of influences from Cyclops and Wolverine in Exile and Blitz. In fact, those guys fit SO perfectly with those outfits. Oh, and I see you made Tsunami blue! Heh heh heh! Poor guy. I bet he must feel embarrassed! But now that you mentioned it, I do see what they have in common; they're both mentors. Though, I think a more appropriate costume for Tsunami would be Silver Samurai. But then again, Silver Samurai is a bad guy. So I lose the case. Anyway, this is great stuff, Metal! I'm favoriting this for sure!

I'll say. The likeness that Rouge shares with Colleen is almost unmistakable. In fact, it's a near perfect match. Good thing though that Colleen doesn't have Rouge's power to absorb the powers from other mutants. Because in Rouge's case, she can only absorb them for a short time. And whoever she touches gets their life drained. Hence why she wears gloves all the time. She nearly killed Wolverine in the first live action film when Wolverine carelessly stabbed her with his claws after waking up from a nightmare he was having. And yes, Blitz and Exile fit perfectly in Wolverine and Cyclops' attires. Come to think of it, Tsunami does look cute as Beast. Although judging from his expression, he begs to differ. Oh, and no problem! It was a pleasure!

I've wondered what it would be like, since some fans have complained that Colleen doesn't really have any Super Powers (she's supposed to have Super Agilty/Ninja Skills, but apparently that doesn't count with some fans), if Colleen had powers similar to Rogue? But I'm not talking about the ability to absorb powers, I'm talking about the flying bit. I remember seeing a review on X-Men and there was a shot of Rogue flying around, ripping the limbs off of giant robots, being uber awesome and such. I think I might like to see Colleen doing that... only meh, I was pretty satisfied with how she was portrayed in the show; she was easily the best fighter and could already take down creatures twice her size (which makes me wonder if she had some form of Super Strength; after all, there was that one part in "Still a Few Bugs in the System" where she easily breaks a cemet bar in half without breaking a sweat).
Heh-heh, but yeah, they all look so cute in their speedos.

I think Colleen is just fine the way she is. I mean who cares if she doesn't have powers? Batman doesn't have powers. And neither does Golgo 13. All they have is their bare hands, weapons, and their wits. In Golgo's case, he likes using guns. And he resorts to hand to hand combat when his enemies manage to disarm him. Like in that part in The Professional where he squared off against Snake in the elevator. Huh, Colleen flying? That's a crazy idea! That would make her more badass if she had Rouge's strength and everything. No doubt. Like you however, I'm pretty satisfied with how she was portrayed in the show. And yes, I remember how she obliterated a stone brick to pieces with her bare fists. And with the greatest of ease I might add. This gave me the impression that her strength was on par with Exile's.
Yeah, I can definitely see Roger telling Tsunami that he doesn't mind seeing him like that. In fact, he'd probably say "Don't be bashful! You look SO adorable that way!" And Exile would probably add "The blue is an improvement!"

Yeah, Colleen is just fine the way she is. She's easily the best fighter out of all the Rovers anyway, plus there's been plenty of times where's she been able to keep not only Blitz but also Exile in line whenever they have an argument (as demonstrated in "Take Me to Your Leader").
Hehe, yeah, Roger would probably say that.

Wow! What a great twist here! A great job with the fitting for this characters, even for Colleen, who once again, made everyone drop their mouths and drool! Also, very funny with Tsunami being the beast, of course, Tsunami doesn't seem to like so much the color blue he got!
