My first attempt at an E. C., ( Exquisite Corpse) collaboration drawing with the generous #marcgosselin , who begun this fabulous colored pencil extravaganza by drawing the top half, then, leaving just an inch exposed, he sent it to me for completion. This was a profoundly challenging experience. Marc's mighty expertise in colored pencils was abundantly clear from that inch, as was his intricate sense of design. Imitating his style in technique and feel was daunting, and wonderful. I learned so much. I viewed this challenge as a grad-course in art-making, and it was. It isn't often one runs right up to the edge of one's abilities, and hustles just a bit past, and what a wholistic learning! Thank you Marc, for sharing your work with me and for extending this opportunity. I hope to do this challenge again in graphite!
