i love the pose--it seems so natural despite how contorted it is. and i love the contrast! it gives the figure a sort of dignified simplicity... if that makes any sense at all

Great contrast. As you may have noticed, I love contrast, and this is a wonderful example. You may want to work on your proportions though. For instance, the arms are a little too short. The elbow should reach the top of the hip bone when standing straight. Nevertheless, the colors and composition more than make up for the shortcomings. Good work, keep it up

Magnifico. I love how the form seems to be under a spotlight rendering most of it in shadow. It feels both simple and complex at the same time

Like you, I've had this appreciation for the human body and painting it is one of my favorite subjects--if not THE favorite of mine!
