I'm not dead, guys!And to show the proof of my existence, I plopped this hideously colored comic panel onto the interwebs.
The comic itself will be done quite soon, I'm up to my ears in work on it.

I noticed that the background looks like that paper you are supposed to use with watercolors. Is that a texture or you actually draw your lines that kind of paper?

First time I'm hearing of someone using textured paper because of the effect. It looks great with your style, too! It also makes me wonder which kind of scanner do you have to keep the effect and the quality at the same time.

The scanner is a cheapo Mustek thingy and I'd love to change it, because it eats pencilwork for breakfast, lunch and dinner. :<

I just lower the contrast when I scan, then mess with the contrast etc manually. It's much easier this way. Also, the Clone Tool brush is my friend :>

I did the outline on watercolor paper, and then the DA categorizing thing didn't have a choice for mixed media in the comic fanart section :T
