Description
This is a (very) belated birthday present for my friend - a drawing of the two characters that we created together, BlackJack and Dirt.

BlackJack (real name - Izak Crncevic) is a mercenary who earns his living by entering and researching Zones, the anomalous places that started appearing all over both Americas after an intercontinental war. Zones are special places - they are in some ways detached from the fabric of reality, and things like time and space work differently there; people, animals and plants mutate after being exposed to the Zones for too long, and an entirely different culture has formed there.
After fleeing from his war-stricken Eastern European country, he spent half of his life working with various mafias around the globe. While seemingly cold and apathetic, he simply tries to keep emotions apart from his business - like a true professional. His image is somewhat peculiar due to his obsession with card motifs, and a logical-gambling personality. He rarely gets attached to people - Dirt being a sole exception. The mutant girl is the most important person in his life - and his partner in crime, as well.

Dirt - A former Zone inhabitant - changed during the years she lived inside the anomaly, after she was brought there by a human parent who did not need her. Raised by the mutants, she is ferocious and energetic, and seems to live only to experience what the next moment can bring. Due to lack of human upbringing her mind works differently, and she has hard time adapting to the more civilized society than she is used to. She is not exactly fond of the world around her and its 'strange' ways, but somewhat enjoys it's products and art, which are incredibly amusing and interesting to her. She is incredibly attached and loyal to BlackJack, who got her out of the Zone a few years ago.
