I like it!  Most versions of the Dreadnought seem to be based on the Pilot versions with the non-canon implication that they were older than the TOS Enterprise (and probably out of service by the movies, though IIRC there's a reference to one of the names in TMP).

Would love to see you make a "refit" aka movie version of this.

Never understood the need for more than 2 warp nacelles.  They are not gonna make you go much faster than before.  The warp limit is set at 9.9 in TNG.   Any faster than that and you are going Transwarp or fold space.    And that isn't what having more than 2 warp nacelles will give you.

Redundancy would be one reason, especially for a battleship expected to take damage rather than an exploration cruiser. If you consider that they need to be in pairs,  you could have a pair between 1 and 2 and 2 and 3.  If any of them took damage, would still have a pair.  If there is no pair rule (Saladin/Hermes, etc) then you still have 3 times the nacelles, depending if they store the fuel (antimatter) or whatever.

That kinda makes sense.   If in battle, the enemy knocks out one of your nacelles, you don't have to worry about being crippled or incapable of engaging warp successfully.   Especially if like you said about whether they can engage using 1 or 2 nacelles.   If only one, that would be logical because like you said about it being a battleship rather than explorational, they wouldn't need the large engine and fuel space their exploration counterparts have.   Just enough to get it to where it needs to be at and maintain the ships systems.

I remember the designs for this from my Starfleet Technical Manual. Cool!

Always thought the Dreadnought config just plain looked cool. Nice to see a depiction of an old school one that really does her justice.

You seem very focused on the TOS, then TMP... not really anything else... I mean, you have a number of Galaxy Class pics, but you don't have to many of a number of the other classes...

Yupp, I'm a TOSer. TOS and TMP, anything else... it's just not the same.
