Description
This is the third version of the second half of a two-part commission from master Greywind, a long-time supporter and dear friend whose OCs the Hesters I've a great fondness for. The drawing depicts a hypothetical older Grace Hester atop a hillock looking up at the sky. Grace is wearing a slightly adapted form of the Junihitoe, a traditional Japanese court dress with a long history; this continues master Greywind's vision of depicting the Revias (the race and culture that Grace belongs to in this drawing) with heavy traditional-Japanese themeing . This drawing, along with its companion piece, explores the various futures in front of Grace Hester as she navigates her mother's legacy and the remaining fallout of the aftermath of her own birth.

This is an attempt at drawing the sky in pencil, something I've been avoiding for a while due to the unsatisfactory results. "Doing something I used to avoid doing" is something of a theme for this set of commissioned drawings, and I am eternally thankful to master Greywind for being the supportive voice that drove me on for these endeavours. I am rather satisfied with how I managed the composition and the depiction of the sky in pencil in this version; this prompts me to do a lot more nature drawings in the near future.

The drawing is part of a pair of drawings with contrasting themes, which is more like a set of four drawings because there's three versions (including this) of the second piece.

Done in 0.3mm B and HB pencils, 0.7mm B pencil, and 2mm HB pencil on A4 paper.
