This is page 6 of the Rimworld Power Armour Studies, being the latter half of the section on Marine Armours. Marine Armours are the "default" power armours of Rimworld, and have been the heaviest personal protection available in the game until the addition of the Cataphract Armour in the Royalty DLC. The lore in the item description has it that these suits are used for ship-to-ship boarding action, which is the basis for my personal interpretation of the armour, as an armoured, exoskeleton-assisted spacewalk suit. The attending bits of lore, also headcanon, posit the use of Marine Armours by raiders and pirates on the surface as being "misuse" of the armour. Additional discussion on the matter on page 7 will have Tia ask Bethany related questions about pirate use of the suits and how to make the suits work better on the surface.
