My entry for The Last Unicorn fan art contest is having for her graphic novel adaption.I remember The Last Unicorn being my favorite movies when I was little. A few years later I stumbled on the book that the movie was based on and read it. The book was just as epic as the movie.
I tried to illustrate the last encounter the Unicorn had with the red bull. Lol! The red bull is afraid of a tiny Unicorn. XD

I love the movie... but the only thing it has better than the book is the music. Peter Beagle wrote the screenplay, so it was truer than most adaptations, but his brand of wordsmithing is inspiring.

That is true. It is one of the rare movies to be accurate. I never know that there was a book until I stumbled upon it in a book store. Strangely in the graphic novel section, but it was still a happy discovery.
I love the book as much as I do the movie. It was beautifully written.

yes it was... it was the first book i swiped from my sister's room when i was a kid. i think we may have even read some of it together. i can't believe it's almost 40 years old!

I really enjoyed drawing this scene a lot. It's one of my favorite scene from the movie too. I wish I could draw more stuff like this. It's challenging, but it's also fun at the same time. Thanks again for the nice comment!
