I get what you mean but your expectations are a bit overexaggerated. Artists won't really get salty if someone told them that it's canonically incorrect, or well-- That depends on how the person tells them, if it's basically forcing them to change it I can understand if they get salty, but if the person kindly let's them know, then it's up to the artist to change it. Either way it doesn't really matter how people draw the eye, it isn't really that big of a deal whether it's blue-yellow or flaming blue, people have headcanons or personal preferences.
