Yeah, man! I'm super happy. I'm glad you and Lu pushed me to ask Bri about a ship. She's honestly done a lot to restore my like of the character. You know how frustrated I was with him and having to explain him all the time. I get some people not understanding him, but others really had no excuse and ruined Aldus in the process. I just hope now that we're past him being seen as someone to fix that he can move on. I think the group's members can start to understand him better now that he's been making leaps and bounds in his development. He was held back for the longest time but you and Bri really helped him improve in terms of development.

Oh same. If I'm lucky he'll have an AU to play with as well. > u> I'm just really excited that he's got a possible ship that I really like. Still blows me away how similar Adalyn turned out to be. xD I think that's what he needed: someone who could understand his researcher side as well as his social troubles. The lack of drama is a bonus given he has so much already going on in the plot. With Adalyn in the picture though a lot of good things lie in wait. Because even if the ship falls through, he's got a friend that can help him develop further.

Honestly working with you revived a lot of my love of working with him as a character. Even if he has his issues and people may not understand him, I've always enjoyed him. Just glad others felt the same and were willing to reach out and help me when things got bad. ; w;

I've been trying to work on his AU for your stories. I need to go through BotW again at some point just to reorient myself with the world. It's like playing the base game to understand the foundation for the DLCs which you compared your stories to. I have a more solid idea now at the least! We just need to discuss details about Anthea sometime. XD She's still a bit of an anchor in his development after all. But I'd love to see Callia too. ^^ I've been wondering a bit about her recently. > u< <3

Oh man, right? I'm sure the first few times would be kind of quiet and work focused, but after they get to know each other I can see them talking a bit more casually. And we all know travels have a good chance for things to change on a whim. >:3 Like a monster issue, environmental hazard or even coming across people who need help. Pfft omg, think of if Ada learned about Rii. Wonder how she'd react to that one, tbh. Not that Aldus and Anthea typically say they know her well, but I'm sure somehow that'd get out.

Yeah, brushing up on BotW will definitely help you out with building something for DoD. XD
Feel free to let me know what you have planned for Anthea whenever you want. In the meantime, I'll try to work up some LoH info for Ada. Yes! I'm excited for Callia too since I hadn't decided on her dad before now I hadn't thought too much about her design but since I've decided to make the baby daddy Sheikah I have a better idea now. XD

Yeah, it would probably be really good for the initial relationship development since they would get a chance to know each other outside of both of their comfort zones. Oh! That would be interesting since actually knowing a fairy or great fairy is really rare. But he wouldn't be the first since Ada is friends with Melody who has one of her own and in DoD Rinku has Rori. But those are special cases so it's very outside the norm and would be pretty fascinating for Ada to hear about.

Sure! I'm still mulling over how to incorporate her. Tbh I never thought of other ways she could be obtained. That's why it's such a hang up for me. Mostly because Aldus isn't much of the adventure type in the sense of questing. He kind of just stumbled upon her while investigating a historical tale, and even then she's the one that presented herself and such. He wouldn't have gotten her blade if she hadn't. So it's like, how do I kind of replicate that?

That's great! I look forward to seeing her. She sounds really fun. <3 You know, come to think of it, if she works out I'll probably have to give Amelia a bit of a tanned skin tone. xD That way it's clear that she and Callia share a mother.

That's kind of what I felt too. I thought it'd be interesting if they both kind of had to deal with things they're not used to. It'd give Aldus more of a reason to open up I'd imagine. Since they are probably both more research/work related with topics when they meet up otherwise. And traveling together like that means Ada has a chance to talk to him uninterrupted for the most part. Plus he can't dodge out as soon as he's anxious. Works on both ends to give them a way to open up (especially if Anthea's not around, pfft. No being the speaker for her. >:[ XD).

You know, it'd probably be surprising to him to know that he's not the only one who knows one. Well, it's more or less Anthea that does, but he's by association. It'd probably inspire more research knowing him. xD He's had rotten luck on his own in trying to get to know a fairy, so Anthea knowing Rii came as a real surprise. I imagine his bad luck might carry over into his DoD AU, lol. In LoH he just has bad luck because he's a bit too focused on research and forgets that a fairy is a person too. He's tried talking to people he's come across who befriended fairies (far and few between since it's rare in LoH too) and ended up on their bad side. That being said, there's a pictograph a friend of his took of him defending himself with an arm raised to deflect an angry fairy. XD To some capacity I think that his habit of research would be the source of his bad luck. Malva in both versions if she ends up involved with Amelia (or even sooner with others) would be an exception because she's a bit spacey and relaxed. > u> Then again as of right now she is more of Amelia's companion.

Well, I haven't managed to sketch anything for her just yet but I did manage to get most of Ada's bio info ready. I just need to figure out how to incorporate the LoH story into her story but I'm not entirely sure about what's going on to do that. So I'll probably have to bug for a recap on all of that. XD

Yes! It's not quite as dramatic as locking them in a room together but it'll have a similar effect.

I'll bet but maybe that will be a good thing since it'll be more common ground for them? Since Ada's connections are also through her friends? XD Lol! Well, Ada could probably introduce Aldus to Melody and her fairy friend and more than likely Rinku would run into Aldus because she and Rori are always all over the place any given time if that's something you want to work on. But his bad luck might also be another connection for them because Ada specializes in making good-luck charms for both Sheikah and non-Sheikah alike~ If his bad luck is super noticeable she'll probably tease him about it and eventually give him one on the house.

Might be a possibility! Anthea was only with a great fairy because she was discovered in a war and her blade was given to them. The great fairy didn't trust Anthea and sealed her. Though Anthea broke free she didn't have her sword so she was kind of held hostage (not really against her will in the end though). Did you do anything with the Zonai? I forget if you built on the ancient civilization they referenced in BotW. I can imagine maybe she can be tied to them as she's kind of tied to a dead race/civilization otherwise in her LoH stuff. Maybe they enshrined her blade somewhere that isn't easily accessible?

That's still good progress! And not a problem. XD You can always hit me up via note or Discord for recap info as you need. Or I can toss together a stash file for you for reference? I can always update it easy.

That works for me, tbh. I think he'd benefit from knowing Melody. Maybe she helps him understand how to handle fairies better or something which helps when he meets Malva later? I definitely get the feeling he and Rinku would meet. XD Probably would visit areas that she's bound to visit as well (IE: maybe at a fairy fountain). If we could ever work out a way that Amelia could know Rinku too, that would help there. That may just be me wanting Amelia to have some fun influences in her life though, LOL.

Bri omg. The charm thing is amazing. Since Aldus tends to be late to realize things sometimes I can imagine he doesn't get why she gives him the charm other than as a gift. But like, way later when he's doing something it just suddenly hits him out of nowhere, lmao. Like he's reading and writing notes then suddenly it just clicks and he's so mad at himself for not getting it sooner. Mostly because suddenly the teasing clicks and he's offended. Just goes from neutral to a grump in a split second. XD Though when I say he's offended it's not like in a bad way. He'd at most probably be like, "I know what you did" next time he saw Ada but then be defensive like, "I don't have bad luck. >(" Meanwhile she can tease him for realizing it so late and fluster him, pfft.

Ah, that makes sense Great Fairies gotta do some guardian work every once in a while I guess. Yes actually I did, but they don't really come into the story until the second quest because I basically made them the ancient civilization mentioned in Majora's Mask. And while they have their main city outside of Hyrule's borders they did build some things that turned to ruins in Hyrule ie the labyrinths and other stuff but they also built a Savage Labyrinth full of trials. They also have a connection to the Faron warrior tribe the barbarian armor's design is based off. That tribe was part of the Zonai but they remained in Hyrule in case of Majora's return and were dedicated worshipers of the Fierce Deity who naturally opposed Majora. But other than that I haven't really delved too much into them. But maybe Anthea's sword could have been hidden away in a Zonai built shrine or dungeon? The Zonai are rather wary about spirit-infused objects (hence why both Majora's Mask and the Fierce Deity's Mask are hidden away) so maybe they stashed away Anthea just to be safe?

Yes! That would be fine with me, and lucky for Aldus since Melody is like one of my most chill characters so she probably easier for him to interact with. ^w^ She'd be more than happy to tell him all she knows. Rinku, on the other hand, would be interesting because she is a handful and doesn't really have a filter. But yes! I think it would be fun if those two met because Rinku would do everything she could to help him out (whether he wanted her to or not) and try to pull him out of his shell too. That's her specialty as she did it with both Zelas and her future love interest Vanyu. Oh yes! If we did Rinku would totally be a big sister influence on Amelia and Callia. She's got a lot of specialized training in healing (way more so that Ada) so she could be a mentoring figure as well if you want. A lot of people forget that Rinku started off a healing mage before she became the hero so that would be fun for Rinku to work on.

Yaaaaas, I'm glad you approve. And I love that! After she is done teasing him about it she probably explains why she makes them; being hexed by bubbles one too many times was enough for Ada to look into avoiding the experience. But they have other benefits too~
