History:
Sahna is a skull kid that has been around for at least fifty years. She only remembers waking up alone in the Lost Woods with no memory of anything other than her name. She was confused about it but she didn't let it get to her. Out of curiosity of the woods, Sahna traveled them and wound up stumbling upon other skull kids. She made friends with them fairly easily. She'd been given a flute by another skull kid and taught Saria's Song which - unknown to her - was popular among them and the kokiri. Sahna traveled around the woods and learned about koroks, kokiri, kikwi and even the deku. She never found a need to leave the forest as she enjoyed playing around within it. Through influence from others and her own naturally childish behaviors, she became quite a handful.

Sahna eventually started seeing travelers non-native to the woods. Many were dealt with by the koroks and this confused Sahna quite a bit. She didn't get why they helped others out of the woods. She also didn't get why they'd lead others astray into the woods either. After becoming highly curious about this, Sahna asked Verbena who happened to be one of the koroks she knew better. Verbena simply explained that their doing this was them helping protect the forest as asked by the Deku Tree. When asked further about what happened to people, Sahna was told they turned into stalfos or skull kids. Thanks to Verbena she learned how her own kind come to be. Sahna is oblivious to the fact skull kids lose their memories and assumes it's just a physical change. Even so she didn't think it fair that kids would change when they may not want to. This was more or less a feeling she developed after seeing how scared lost kids could be. This is why she had begun to lead children out of the forest.

In one instance Sahna stumbled upon a lost traveler. They were magically inclined and trying to defend themselves with magic from a few of the native monsters. Though she disliked adults, Sahna didn't like seeing the monsters attacking them either. With a slingshot she had at the time and a few deku nuts, she was able to help the traveler who was deep into the woods. The encounter ended with her having saved this magic user's life and though she was distant and upset due to her bias, she was also intrigued by the use of magic. The traveler knew skull kids must know their way around and pleaded with her to help them. She considered it after rudely demanding that they teach her about magic first. They were desperate to not end up lost and turn, thus they agreed to it. Sahna learned the basics of her magic and was content enough to agree to lead this traveler out of the woods to safety.

Since then Sahna has explored and played with her magic while living happily in the woods. She's been using her illusions to trick people for fun or as a means of defense. This has led her to abusing it for fun and she's become a bit overconfident in the process, but never meant harm towards anyone that wasn't a threat. She sometimes uses it to help others as she simply hates to see people hurt (which is ironic given how she leads most adults astray and causes them to become stalfos). Sahna spends most of her time in the Lost Woods but she frequents the Kokiri Village as well and knows quite a few kokiri and koroks. With no reason to leave the forest, she happily stays there.

Plot History:
Sahna was happy to be in the forest up until Hyrule was covered in darkness. The skull kid was having to constantly avoid monsters and hide in general from them as their numbers started to increase around the woods. Faron Woods has seen lots of activity and now the Kokiri Forest and Lost Woods are seeing the same. The latter places have been plagued by strange beasts of odd proportion and great strength. Ever since the time tears came up the forest had been seeing so much in terms of danger that Sahna had moved to the Kokiri Village to stay with them. Their area was guarded by the Deku Tree and Sahna figured that it'd be safe for her too. That only lasted so long, however, as eventually the beasts made their way into the village as well.

Fleeing the village of the kokiri was top priority when she saw them show up. Sahna grabbed her korok friend, Verbena, and ran off screaming (with Verbena also screaming and jingling). The skull kid just kept going with no one way in particular in mind. She eventually hopped out of a bush and fell face first into the dirt before a large group of traveling people. She and Verbena did poorly at hiding the fact there was trouble and they were running (or being carried in Verbena's case) for their lives. Apparently the group had come in investigating the quiet forest. The lack of voices and visits from forest inhabitants had concerned nearby villages, but that didn't matter to Sahna. The skull kid eventually was talked into leading them to the kokiri village and Sahna expected them in exchange to solve the monster problem. She ran off once they arrived, spooked by the appearance of the monsters. She hid and waited for the group to lead them out when they needed to be. Sahna was upset that the issue wasn't fixed but held everyone to it. She played a song on her flute then told them to play that same song if they needed her assistance again. Since then she's been waiting, hoping the group's promise to fix the issue can be fulfilled any time soon. The forest has been getting worse and she's been growing worried. Some part of her is clinging to hope that they can help and she really doesn't understand why.

The group kept their promise and came back. Sahna helped as she could and, once the forest was clear and the heroes gone, she tried to pick up the pieces. In her own ignorance she began burying the bodies of dead koroks she managed to find. She also buried skull kids where she could, though this took an extreme emotional toll on her and she stopped after the first few. Scared about her own mortality and the safety of the other skull kids, Sahna found the survivors and formed a group. She asserted herself as a leader with the information that she saved the forest by bringing a group of outsiders in to help. While she was resisted by some, most seemed willing to follow her considering that and how she was strong with her magic.

The Sacred Forest Meadow was where she'd decided to hole up. The area was hard to reach and hadn't been attacked, so she felt it the safest place. She gathered more and more skull kids over time and they lived in the meadow peacefully while occasionally running off into the woods for supplies and food. Though the natural monster threat was around, the skull kids all knew how to handle themselves when it came to dealing with monsters. The usual wolfos pack was never a threat and they were defeated quite easily with teamwork. The Forest Meadow was perfect for them up until the hero group returned. Sahna was summoned by a skull kid that, along with the others, had been attacking the adults. She called off the attacks and decided to get involved. As she quickly found out, Sahna was being sought out. She had no desire to leave, but the idea of a trade had her interested. The group had a heck of a time negotiating, but Sahna eventually gave her promise to help and leave with the group.

The travel was difficult with Sahna not knowing the outside world. In fact, she was very bored by the travel and nearly slipped away a few times. When they reached the Lakeside Community at Lake Hylia, Sahna gave everyone the slip during a storm. Sahna gave Zelda the slip when she least expected it and ran off, causing trouble among the community before the storm got worse. She stole a lot of jewelry and harassed a few fisherman while also stealing food to eat. The storm started and she hid in one of the storage buildings. She waited there until the heroes came looking for her. She played tricks on them and spooked them with Skulltulas and a nest of rats. Unfortunately Kalla found and pursued her, making the skull kid angry because Kalla used Link's Lens of Truth to expose her and make her illusion spell useless. Sahna ran off and was pursued, but she managed to keep ahead until Aldus stopped her. Sahna was unhappy by the development and reluctantly followed the group to the Temple of the Sages just north of the community.

Sahna still didn't get what help the group needed even at the temple. However, she felt compelled to check the doors in the Temple of the Sages. The Light Sage's door reacted to her presence and she went in, clearing the small test in the room before the sage's chamber. Sahna went on to awaken her sage spirit and become the new Sage of Light, the first active and known one since the Era of the Hero of Time. Sahna, now with her sage memories intact and her sage spirit awakened, has expressed that she's aware of her sage status and helped restore some of Saniya's power. She has, amusingly, kept all of the jewelry she thieved from the community at Lake Hylia and speech has become more fluent and mature rather than broken, childish and blunt. She currently waits in the Sacred Realm, learning more about herself and capabilities alongside Emmeri, the only other awakened sage at this time.
