It's caboose! My all time most favourite character from red vs blue. This was yet another project for my drawing software class. It was assigned and due before my Master Sword project, but I was too lazy too upload it until now.
So I'll give you all the gist of it. Using the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator, we had to trace and recreate an image of the cartoon variety. At first I was a little stumped on what I would do, so I started slacking off by looking at the shirts in the rvb store and I saw the caboose shirt. On it there was a cartoon version of caboose, so I thought, its perfect. We also had to put some kind of background and a quote, comment or something of the like on it. Caboose seemed to be in a kind of confused state (like he ever isnt) so I put a scorpion tank in the background (meant to be sheila) and made him saying his quote "Why are there six pedals if there are only four directions?" from the first time he attempted to pilot sheila.
So, in all there are 65 layers give or take a few. It took about 7 hours to complete. All of those shadows too a while to make them look right. Also, it took a little while to figure out how add the gradient on the visor because I had never used a gradient before.
