You know, the "Beam weapons" that Joseph are using are basically copied from Vanquish, like the Power Gatling for example, which is basically the same like the Assault Rifle. Rapid firing, accurate & have a ton of ammo, (can have up to 1 200 max ammo at a high lvl. Although, for Joseph, he would be able to fire plenty of bullets before the battery discharges) but weak. Like the Power Beam, right?

As for his Plasma Vulcan, it's the equivalent of the Heavy Machine Gun, which is basically the opposite, inaccurate, slow, (rate of fire) & have a low discharge time, (meaning that he can only fire for a few seconds before the battery's discharged) but strong.
