I updated my sprite sheet of Samus, now she has more sprites than ever! Some new motions include aiming up and down on ladders, aiming down in the air, getting damaged, and new sprites for switching to missiles. I also updated her color palette. Oh cool! I see it's using the Varia+Missile mode palette.

It's the closest I could get to the Gravity Suit with an actual NES palette. Samus' original sprite sheet consisted only of what you see on the top row. This expanded sheet contains crouching & shooting, moving left (the original Metroid just mirrored the sprites for some reason) and climbing a ladder, doubling the total sprite count. The ones for aiming upwards when facing left had to be made entirely from scratch. I tried to be as faithful to the game as possible, I used theΒ Japanese commercial Β as a starting point for making the sprites & used some of the sprites that were unused in the game's files (thanks TLP). Although I should mention the ladder climbing sprites are a modified version of what you see in Super Mario Bros Crossover, and the same goes for the crouching sprite. All sprites facing to the left however and the ones of Samus shooting on a ladder were custom made.
TL;DR Ladder climbing & crouching sprites are from Super Mario Bros Crossover & left facing sprites are custom.

Well, this color palette of NEStroid was the closest I could get to the Gravity Suit.
