Yesterday I rewatched Kamen Rider Den-O. I was surprized about how weak Ryotaro Nogami is. He needs to be possessed by an imagin to be able to fight. When he's left alone, he's so weak. Having no weapon stops him from fighting. What!?! Even Ichigo, Black, and even Kuuga can do better. They aren't equipped with sword, stick, gun, or anything. Yet they keep fight the evil with all they can. Ryotaro? helplessly calling for Momotaros with his annoying voice. This case also happend with Gaim and Ghost. Man, Kamen Rider Den-O is the worst KR in my opinion. Weak, annoying, and out of place.Related content

They did started out frail and weak, but isn't that the point? I mean, even if the Imagin's are the main source of Den-O's power, Ryotaro had gotten stronger on his own. He even put himself in a straining workout in a vain attempt to keep three of them from dissappearing. Β From weak to strong, that how life goes.
With Gaim, the hidden them of his story is maturity. He started off a bit silly and naive, but even you can't deny how much he matured throughout the show. Learning terrible truths, facing hard decision, and having to deal with something that may be beyond his control. Kouta also had to make some great risk to fight for what he believes in.
With Ghost.. this may be hard to chew... but like Kouta, at least attempted to fight the monsters, knowing the risk is low. And he even died trying to protect them... twice. Being dead allows him to reflect how he had spent his life, admitting his weakness, and slowly allows him to appreciate his life and the life of others. He even prefer to save the life of others before his own life. And even if the Parka Ghost are bit like the Imagins, doesn't everyone have a historical figure they look up to, or appreciate for they're work?
And if I recall correctly, Kuuga never did started off in his red Mighty form, now did he?

Also with Kouta and Takeru (Gaim and Ghost):: Kouta gains weapons from the arms, he but that's it. He isn't possessed or anything. And the same with Takeru

True, but Ryotaro is has a strong enough will to stop Momotaros once, and shake off the overbearing will of the Ghost Imagin in the movie. So he's not completely weak.
He still started off weak and grew stronger.
