Jigsaw: "Do you want to play a GAME?"
The Riddler: "I'M the one who asks the Questions here. Pay attention, would you?"
*****
I am SURE this Fan Versus battle has been done before.
But, what the heck. I want to have a shot at it, too.
Ever since Batman: Arkham City, fans keep comparing the Riddler's
infamous "Puzzle Room's" to the many Death Traps found in the SAW movies.
At first glance, one might think that The Riddler is ripping of Jigsaw in that regard.
But, ACTUALLY..It is really the reverse.
As a Villain, The Riddler predates the SAW Franchise by decades.
And, has been trapping people in "Death Trap Rooms"
LONG before the Jigsaw Killer ever did.
(So, in truth. Jigsaw was really ripping the Riddler off.)
BUT, enough with the history lesson.
The similarities between the two is pretty obvious. Both trap innocent people
in puzzling Death Traps that often lead to the deaths of the participants.
The only difference between them is their motivations.
Jigsaw does it to test his victim's will to live,
and feels those who "don't appreciate life DESERVE to die."
Whilst Riddler tests his victims intellect, and feels that
to fail means you are stupid, and the world is better off without you.
So, both are geniuses, have a fondness for games,
and are amoral sadists responsible for hundreds of deaths.
But, WHICH one of them is smarter??
pitted against one another, which is the superior genius.
(Don't ask Riddler, he'll ALWAYS he that he is.)
I personally don't care WHO wins. I just want to see their egos clash.

Thr Riddler wins. He much smarter and has far more eliborate plans. And his victims are smarter than the average person. If he needs to constantly trick Batman. it above anything Jigsaw has ever done.

I know this sounds insane but I think I would feel much safer with Jigsaw than the Riddler. At least with Jigsaw, there is always a way to save yourself. With the Riddler, you have to rely on Batman to save you. I am sure the Riddler would find a way to defeat Jigsaw.

Indeed. that is the point of this. Pitting the two against each other.
As I stated to another, Riddler may be smarter, and have more experience than Jigsaw.
given that most of Jigsaw's adversaries are police officers of average capabilities.
Riddler, however, has matched wits with Batman (The World's Greatest Detective)
and, had to improve his craft after each numerous defeat at the hands of Batman.
Jigsaw ISN'T challenged as much as Riddler is.
as such, Riddler is more experienced, and most likely has more complex traps and puzzles.
Riddler may be arrogant, but he has good reason to boast.
he really is intelligent, and could probably survive Jigsaw's traps with little problem.
Though, if Jigsaw were in Riddler's puzzle rooms..I have doubts he'd be as lucky.

Just saving space on my Gallery, given it's folder limit.
I had to make compromises.

I tend to do ones that interest me the most,
or those that I find fits a certain theme, and would be entertaining to watch.
Like, oh-say..Deadpool vs. Lobo.

Well, both can't die, but I see Lobo having the advantage of winning.

Marvel and DC once did Lobo vs. Wolverine.
BUT, I personally feel Lobo is best fighting with Deadpool.
Mainly because both are unkillable, are mercenaries.
AND, if Lobo had a movie, than like Deadpool, It'd be a hard R-rated film.
The only thing Deadpool has to trump over Lobo
is how he can literally break the fourth wall like a Looney Tunes character.

That's what's best about Deadpool. Lobo is only great at being the main man.

well, while I don't know the EXACT winner would be in terms of intelligence, we can't forget that brain power isn't the only factor here: I'm not the biggest fan of horror films, but if Jigsaw is even HALF as smart as the elaborate death traps he makes implies, he very likely will find a way to stumble upon the Riddler himself at some point or vice versa, meaning that a straight up brawl is all but inevitable, and I don't know about you, but if/when that happens, all my money's going towards Edward Nigma: he fights BATMAN on a regular basis, and while he has yet to actually beat the Dark Knight, I'd like to think that would go a ways to learning a thing or two in terms of hand-to-hand combat, compared to Jigsaw who, if my research is correct, gets injured (and even killed depending on the movie) by those who, at best, have had the basic training of the average police officer (and if "Batman: Year 1" and "Batman: Arkham Origins" has taught us anything, it's that the average cop doesn't always have the knowhow to take down someone with years of martial arts experience)

You do strike a valid point.
Based on who these villains deal with on a daily basis,
Riddler has a bit more experience than any of the Jigsaws.
The worst that Jigsaw deals with are cops of average physical, and mental challenge.
Whilst the Riddler deals with Batman, who is above the average man in strength and intelligence.
This also means that with every failure, Riddler builds himself up.
fashioning more clever riddles, and complicated puzzles and death traps.
fueled by his need to finally defeat his nemesis.
I may not know much of Jigsaw..But, I know that most of the time he ends up winning.
and, as such isn't challenged as much as Riddler is.
(So, in that regard. Riddler may be smarter, and have more complicated puzzle rooms.)
Plus, if we are going by Batman: Arkham's Riddler.
than "Eddie" not only once worked for the GCPD in it's cyber-crimes unit.
But, is also skilled at advanced robotics (EX: His Riddler Mech.)
As arrogant as Riddler is..he technically does have reason to boast.
I can picture Jigsaw wanting to choose Edward Nigma as a possible victim,
only for the killer to end up a victim of The Riddler himself.

You know, from a distance, this version of the Riddler looks like Robert Lindsey, who's best known for roles in such shows as Hornblower and My Family...

There have been multiple Jigsaws and one of them (I think her name was Amanda) intentionally placed you in inescapable traps on purpose.
Also I remember another Jigsaw who tied up a cheating woman and both of her lovers in a trap and then the game was that the two guys had to kill the woman to live or something, but one of them had his eyelids sewn shut and the other had his lips sewn shut. I can't remember the exact specifics.
I assume you're using John Kramer here, the original Jigsaw who trained all the others. He's a badass in a way as his "game" continued long after he died, he even made a recording and swallowed it before his death just so it'd be found in the autopsy and his message be delivered.
I always used to love imagining him vs Hannibal Lecter, two geniuses clashing.
As for him against Riddler, Jigsaw's FAR less annoying and I'd HOPE he kidnaps Riddler and puts him in his death traps.
Screw that, make it Amanda who orchestrates the "game" here... hehehe.
