Does anyone even REMEMBER this show anymore?!After the success of the 1994 file 'The MASK' starring Jim Carry,
an animated series was released in 1995 (starring Rob Paulsen as Stanley Ipkiss/The MASK)
the animated series was the closest thing that fans of the movie ever got to a real "MASK 2"
in that It (more-or-less) continued Stanley's story with him using the Mask as Edge City's "superhero"
the animated series featured alot of creative villains (some adapted from the original comic, others created just for the show.)
and, even had a few cases of OTHER people donning the Mask (and a few returns of the original "Dark MASK" persona when villains got ahold of It.)
Thus far, TM:TAS has NEVER got a real DVD release (sans for the two-part pilot episode, which THIS animation was taken from.)
Fortunately, I have the means to watch the whole series now with little complications. So, I can still enjoy the show, regardless.

Unfortunately I never got to watch or even knew about the cartoon until I actually think a few years ago. Recently I saw the Mask on tv and it inspired me to look up the cartoon series. I've been watching every episode ever since whenever I get some free time; I absolutely love it!!

Especially since a few episodes of MASK the Animated Series
actually had a "MASK Baby", and quite a few "MASK Dog" moments that weren't terrible.
but, really. the real issue in Son of the MASK
was taking the story out of Edge City, and not focusing on Stanley Ipkiss anymore.
The animated series was a genuine "superhero" cartoon.
and, a fitting sequel to the film, that also paid tribute to it's comic origins.
One episode that I like was where MASK's villains gathered together
in an "Almost Got 'Em" type of scenario, discussing their past defeats.
because once you have a rogues gallery of villains,
they you know you have achieved Superhero Status.

Never thought about there being a cartoon version of the mask...that's really cool to see.
and , please don't leave DA. I know that I do not look at your stuff often, but I have a job now and I have to dedicate my time to it...
Plus, I feel like you are pressuring me at times to look at your stuff on the weekdays when I have my job to go to and I do NOT do well under pressure.
you have to understand that some people are busy with other things. For me, I have my job to go to Monday-Fridays at 9:00 A.M.

A superhero with Looney Tunes abilities, what could be better?

Almost hard to believe that "MASK" was originally intended to be a replacement for Freddy Krueger (I.E. 'Was suppose to be a new Horror Film star'.)
But, they never could work out how to make killing people funny
so, The MASK was revamped as a Comedy, instead (which was a GOOD decision, all things considered.)
to this day, The Mask as a franchise as changed so that The MASK itself is only as bad as who wears It.
the animated series had a few cases of this, one episode introducing a truly dark counterpart to the heroic Mask
(he looked like Mask, but wore a RED zoot suit, and acted more like The Joker and Negaduck)
