Description
Another piece of artwork for my Oban Star-Racers/Star Wars crossover,
AND, my new Eva Wei/MollyxMartyin Lucas pairing.
This time, I did one of their respected childhoods.
waaay back when they were both five years old (before Maya Wei's death.)
According to the backstory that I wrote down in my fiction,
Eva and Marty have known one another since infancy, and were inseparable as children.
because Eva's mother was a racer, and Marty's father her mechanic (and, best friend),
both kids spent most of their time at the racetrack together.
when Maya died in her fatal crash, most of the blame was shifted towards Marty's father: Andrew Lucas.
as such, both Eva and Marty were separated when Lucas was fired and forced to move,
and, Don Wei of course left his daughter behind at the Stern Boarding School.
it wasn't until Ten Years Later that Eva and Marty
were reunited as the people they are now: a Punk Racer/Mechanic
and, a "Gray Jedi" with developing feelings for one another.
Still..there were times both before and after their reunion,
that the two think back to better days..back when Maya was still alive, and their lives were perfect.

They were raised together, but they aren't blood related or anything.
they are best friends who eventually fell in love, and one day had a daughter together in later years.
their relationship is akin to Kim Possible & Ron Stoppable and Danny Fenton/Phantom & Samantha Manson.

I guess better times will come, andrew lucas should not receive all the blame for the death,why
and of course the history of the "gray jedi" is more interesting, always on the edge of danger, well good development of this story, I like more than the novel on tv <3

I once mistakenly described Martin as a "Dark Jedi",
until, that is I learned of the Gray Jedi, who Martin shares more in common with.
I know I don't really need to tell you this (but, I will anyway for sake of those reading this)
but, Gray Jedi are like normal Jedi..only they tend to use Dark Side powers for noble reasons.
to the Grays, the Jedi Code is more of "guidelines", not actual rules.
and, only follow the code unless it gets in the way of what needs to be done.
Qui-Gon Jinn was a Gray Jedi.
With Martin Lucas, I wanted him to be a Jedi..but, not a Jedi like Yoda or Obi-Wan Kenobi.
as his alias implies, I bases most of his character on Starkiller: He does whatever it takes to get the job done.
As for the drama of Andrew Lucas.
well, I wanted both Marty and Eva to share something in common.
in a sense, both are orphans: abandoned and alone.
and, their troubles all began with Maya Wei's death.
although, I purposely had Marty have things far worse than Eva.
namely, Eva still has a father around..but, both of Martin's parents are gone.
It was my hope that this would make Marty similar to Eva..but, NOT be a rip-off character or anything.
