'After 6,000 Years of Agony, Lapis Lazuli has finally accepted the Earth as her new home,
the Crystal Gems as her family, and even found Love, and the promise
of a bright, wonderful future that she never thought was possible.

But, even the brightest of futures can still cast the darkest of shadows...

...And, a Great Darkness looms over not just the Galaxy, but the WHOLE Universe.
And just may spell doom for both Crystal and Homeworld Gems alike.'

This story has quite a history...but it all began with Lapis Lazuli.

Initially this all began as a simple tragic love story
between Lapis, and a human OC who died at the hands of Jasper,
only to later return as a Ghost in a Danny Phantom-like story.

BUT, for whatever reason I scrapped that idea
and went for a much happier story after realizing something one day:

'Steven Universe' would make a GREAT world in Kingdom Hearts!?'

And THAT is how this storyline took shape.
a Kingdom Hearts crossover in which Lapis' love interest
is chosen to wield a Keyblade because of his compassionate heart.

'Zach' isn't a superhero, he isn't a warrior.
He has no legendary ancestry that destined him for greatness.

He is just an average, ordinary guy who just happened to luck out
being in a relationship with Lapis Lazuli, and now has greatness thrust upon him.

Yeah, I am sure MOST who see "Steven Universe/Kingdom Hearts" crossover
would expect Steven to get a Keyblade, or see Sora visit Beach City with Donald & Goofy.

But THIS is a different kind of story.

Here, the world of Kingdom Hearts has come to the world of Steven Universe
and the Crystal Gems will have to contend with The Heartless
in the most realistic way I can imagine.

And, JUST like any Kingdom Hearts story... there is a mighty complex plot
that while simplified, will still be rather complicated in retrospect

(and, probably won't all be resolved in just ONE story.)

[TRIVIA]

.The name of OC Protagonist "Zach Ligero" have a few references.

His surname "Ligero", is a Spanish Adjective meaning "Light"
(Owl House Fans: likewise the Spanish Noun for Light is "Luz")

"Zach" is a reference to "Zach Callison",
Who is Steven Universe's voice actor.

.The surname of Zach's nemesis, "Victor Oscuro",
Is meant to parallel Zach's with "Oscuro" being Spanish for "Dark"

As such, they both wield the Oathkeeper and Oblivion Keyblades respectfully
As each Keyblades represent Light and Darkness (among other things.)

.Zach's often mentioned deceased mother is loosely based on Garnet
from the original pilot short of Steven Universe.
