As far as DC Elseworlds stories go, this one is pretty unique.
and, It's all to answer the question: "What if Superman was Batman??!"

'Speeding Bullets' tells of an AU where after Jor-El
sent baby Kal-El to Earth following Krypton's destruction,

Instead of crash landing in Smallville, Kansas. and raised by the Kents.
Kal-El INSTEAD landed near Gotham City, and was founded and adopted by the Waynes.

SO. Kal-El was named "Bruce Wayne", and for the most part
grew up exactly like the mainstream Bruce Wayne.

When Thomas and Martha are inevitably killed in Crime Alley by Joe Chill,
'Bruce' unintentionally kills Chill when his heat vision reacts to his grief and trauma.

Years later, Bruce becomes "Batman." and, uses his superpowers
to intimidate the criminals of Gotham City as it's 'brutal' protector.

(with Lex Luthor now being this world's Joker.)

So, yeah. In this story, Superman IS Batman.

And, I don't mean like before where Superman dressed up like Batman.

No. this is literally Superman BEING Batman. right down to being a grim vigilante
that strikes fear into the hearts of his enemies.

(and, I tell you. Nothing is scarier than a "Super Batman")

It's a pretty good story, and a great concept to explore.
