Description
'Ben presses the Omnitrix's activation button..but, it doesn't respond.aggravated, the boy keeps pressing it rapidly.
the center finally pops up, making a odd 'humming' sound.
Ben selects his Alien and slams the cylinder down..
but, instead of transforming
the Omnitrix fires a green energy beam at his friend, Alex.
both kids are left Stunned and Confused at the results'
a Production Sketch for a Ben 10 Story Idea that i had.
sort of an 'What If' of sorts.
like..What If the Omnitrix had a hidden setting
that allowed it to transform OTHERS into Aliens??, not just Ben.

No. as far as I know, Only I have ever came up with this concept.
I've written a few oneshots based on this,
but have yet to get a full length story written, and posted.

Well, LATER I wrote a short story detailing this event.
the Omni-Energy charge eventually wore off,
and, Alex reverted back to human form just as Ben usually does.
(in fact, in the story Alex was changed into Four Arms AND Heatblast.)

That is a very interesting and useful setting. Useful in making others to aliens to fight alongside Ben, but would be dangerous if the enemy knew about it and stole the omnitrix or it's designs/secrets.

That's why i made it so this setting ONLY works if one presses the activation buton TWICE.
I figured that Azmuth figured that no one would figure this out..since it's such a 'Simple' process.
but, this is Ben that we're talking about here..
he seems to have a knack for figuring things out by accident (and, sheer Dumb Luck.)

Looks good! I think that idea was explored in an episode of Ultimate Alien where Kevin and Gwen where transformed in aliens from the Omnitrix/Ultimatrix and Ben couldn't transform.

I actually based it on what the Omnitrix did on the CGI Movie: "Destroy All Aliens"
(which took place in the Kid Ben Era, but was made during the time of Teen Ben's Series)
The Omnitrix malfunctioned, and turned Ben's Parents into Ferral versions of his Aliens
but, towards the end..he used the Omnitrix to change them back.
I thought this feature was handy
and, decided to incorperate it in my 'Ben 10 Crosstimeline' ('Professor Paradox' knows what i'm talking about.)

Given Ben's 'egotistical' personality as a ten-year-old
i figured he'd be the most shocked at somebody else "going alien", rather than him.
Alex is surpised too..but, not as much as Ben is.
Now, they'll be a NEW problem.
the next time Ben needs to use the Omnitrix
will he use it on himself??, OR..will be give others a shot.
(knowing Kid Ben, he'd need some "convincing" to let others be a hero.)
