Hurr Hurr. Look who actually has something up.:imhappyplz:
This is just a very basic sketch. As usual I'm hoping to get back into drawing, and especially working on new things.
Obviously Cid and Vincent, at least, I hope it's obvious. D:
Need to work on Vincent's face, I've done very few profiles, his being one of the first, need to fix the forehead and elongate the chin I think.
Need to work on Cid as far as deceiding facial hair or no, and making him look older without looking too old.
And I'll have to fix the perspective, because while I was trying to make it look like Vincent was just closer with Cid standing farther back, it looks like Vincent's the one a few heads shorter. :/
And expressions. The wife says I needed to do something different, and I'm tryyying. D:
I'll scrap this when I fix shit and ink it as usual.
And I'm up for a new background so give me something people. Cityscape, landscape, a freaking McDonalds playground, just suggest something~
And they belong to Square-Enix if anyone actually cares. :3
Time: An hour or so?
Music: Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II sountrack with some FFX and Gackt mixed in.
Mediums: Sketch paper and a .07 mechanical pencil for now.

I'm thinking rather of a far out city landscape. Like the one inn the movie advent children? :3 personaly I think it's much more fiting.
The reason vince looks a head shorter is because of cid. if he's standing far in the back he's WAY too big. He has to show a bit more of his torso in the back. and the torso should probably be a tiny little bit bigger than vince's head. Am I making sense?

And I like the idea of a cityscape. My brother was pushing towards it too since I've apparently been working on too many sunrise/sunset themes. :/

Of course I doodled Vincent first and started sketching Cid, and it turns out I liked where I was going so I didn't want to start over.
It's bad when you're willing to sacrifice persective because you think something actually looks right for once. D:

How about a park at sunset? >.>; It's kinda basic, but has some interesting lighting effects. (orange ftw)
Looks better than the stuff I've been drawing recently; I get so fed up that I'll draw something...scan it...get about 2/3 of the way through coloring it and then scrap it because I hate it so much. *sigh*

And do you really scrap your lovely work? D: I get icked with stuff, but I decide that waaaay before I start the coloring. If anything, I tell myself with color it will lok better.

It's looks good! For some reason I can't stop staring at Vincent's profile, it's so curvy! (in a good way.)
I think the reason their expressions look kinda blank is because it's still a pencil sketch. Once you've colored it and made it look all spiffy they'll look alive. And background.....for some reason I'm thinking landscape (but McDonald's sounds tempting....)
Please keep posting stuff up when you can, I really like looking at your stuff!

Oh thank gods. Remember how you said if I wanted to do something different, I should just go for it? Well, the expression work is because of Reya, but the profile work was because of you! XD So I'm most relieved that you like it.
And McDonalds does kinda sound tempting, but probably for a different picture. Haha.

The more you push out of your comfort zone, the more you'll learn. I'm actually making myself draw poses and stuff I normally wouldn't. I know it's a bother, but in the end it'll be worth it.
