Since I’m so Hilarious by naming his two older siblings Molly and Tom, I named this guy and his siblings Ares and Persephone/Percy because I think those names are pretty and Epic musical is in my brain

Hermes is a deaf 17 year old who’s constantly overlooked in being able to care for himself due to familial trauma that wants to keep him safe. He very empathetic and kind unlike Raine or his twin siblings Ares and Percy. He’s slowly turning into the main character mostly because I wanna keep Raine’s pov a bit of a secret for awhile. I think Hermès’ pov will be fun to interpret into drawing though cause he can’t hear, he’s deaf, most born deaf people don’t talk much, most deaf people use sign language, sign language moves a lot and uses hands, I don’t like drawing hands and comics are a still image. It’ll be a struggle damn will it be fun, though I’ll add a little text to show what he’s signing, not as creative as Spice speaking though paper and gestures to the point of changing his dialogue box but this guy will just have some text next to it. It can maybe teach people some signs and also will also just be easier to read for everyone cause once again I suck at hands and I can’t animate things easily. Background signs and signs directed at the rabbit thief who needs a name will be with no text tho since it’s not the focus and cause Rabbit thief doesn’t know, once he starts learning is when simpler versions of words will appear

I wrote a lot cause it’s late and I’ll forget when I wake up, I know it, I planned his text boxes just to forget. I have never had a fully deaf character(that isn’t warriors) before I always felt more inclined to make blind characters due to having close family that will eventually go completely blind. Losing my hearing is one of my biggest fears due to my ears getting damaged over and over I made this character to finally push me into learning more sign language in an easier way for me. I would recommend it if you wanna learn about something but can’t do it without something that caters to your interest. Hope I can learn signing by the end of this year also it’s gonna be American SL cause my island is owned by the US of A. Another reason for Addie text on sign language, there’s multiple sign languages
