EDIT: Would like to clarify something- which I'll edit into the image itself when I can. Essentially, Paralogos center themselves around the essence and/or understood of a word- that's where their design influence comes from. That is also their focus of interest.They do also love language in general, and also words too, but it is more of a connection to what a word really means, which can be influenced by the language it comes from/how a culture that developed a language sees a term. Good example, the word 'dog' vs. 'inu'. (English / Japanese)
When you say dog to an English speaker, mainly American I'll say here- they might think of a Golden Retriever. When you say 'inu', or when someone from Japan thinks of that term, they may think of a Shiba Inu, which is traditionally a much more common dog in Japan than Golden Retrievers. Does that make sense?

Well they are a word-based species.
Hence most of this is words.
Unlike other species that may be around on DA and elsewhere- I don't have a set of common/uncommon/rare traits for these little ones.
The context of the word influences the design to a huge degree. I don't plan to restrict features for any word, common (concrete) or abstract (rare).
Pretty much if anyone is confused, look at other confirmed designs or just ask me about a feature! I'm still figuring some things out myself too.

Accessories are fine. Taming (one of the designers) oftentimes draws accessories on her designs too. 
As for your other question-
Good news, there are two current examples!
The main thing is that this type of thing shouldn't be incorporated unless it's necessary to the design.
Since you're here by the by, I'd like to see if you have any input-- what would you like to see on the updated species sheet for these guys?

Oh, thank you! I wasn't sure whether Milly's flowers were part of her body or not XD also I was wondering how would paralogos based on other dinosaurs work? And also what if there was a paralogos whose word was 'parasaurolophus'?

I believe they're an accessory! But you might want to ask Aquila. I think they're what one may consider a "necessary" accessory, or at least something very often worn.
Now that's the fun part of this- me+admins have been talking about that. There are certain words we will not allow currently for MYOs, but that's mainly due to other issues.
In theory we've reserved some of the dino-names precisely for special events. Or at least that's one idea in mind.

Alright! I think I have an idea of what it is I'm looking for? I'm not exactly sure how to 'trait' or figure him out though, so maybe it'd be better to just describe it first and go from there? ;v;
I saw a bunch of really cool different concepts of these guys based on animals, and since my favorite animals are ravens, I was wondering if I could get a MYO slot or custom for one? I saw some fur for the wolf one and adorable insect wings on the dragonfly one, so I was wondering if feathering or even small wings would be acceptable for a paralogo based on a raven?

I'd be more than happy to help with a custom! As mewhaku mentioned, how artists may interpret the word may vary. I myself, for a word like Raven, would definitely add wings similar to those on bat but you may prefer something else or more complex designs. Obviously my designs are not as good as tamingofthesandshrew (kudos to you sweetie! ILY) so I might offer a lower rate than her but it's up for discussion!

In terms of design, It'd probably just be a gradient of charcoal to black up towards the spine, maybe with a cream-colored cresent around the neck like some breeds of domesticated ravens haev; the most complex thing I'd inquire about would be possibly giving them scaly front and hind legs like most birds have
I actually really like both of your guys' art so idk XDXD I'd probably go with you though since the design isn't crazy complicated or anything, and I feel a sentimental value with your designs now ;v;

Design-wise, I like what you have thought up so far, it really does reflect what a Raven would look like. A "scaly" front and hind legs can be easily portrayed with markings although I can inquire about having actually "scales". As far as traits go, they are rather flexible as long as they stick to the original theme! While Taming's designs are absolutely drop dead gorgeous, I get where you're coming from. Sometimes I just can't draw them!

They would be! The main thing with this species, since it doesn't have an official trait system- is basically this:
- It needs to be directly related to the word in question
- It can be something you, the creator, see as really important in the 'idea' of the word.
Basically- we don't want people drawing wings on something like... rock. Or lamp. Y'know, obvious.
Ravens, since they all do have wings, of course can have feathering or small wings. Mousefighteru chose to make her Robin (I know I can't spell the actual word) more feathered, no actual 'small wings'. tamingofthesandshrew added feather-spines to the idea of Zephyr-- wind/air. VeloxAquila , in recent bug batch, actually chose to make tiny wings for insects.
I myself would most likely make small feathering on arms, or very tiny shoulder wings.
So depending on whether you want to design it yourself, or get an official artist to make one for you- you'd just have to choose who you want to work for you!
tamingofthesandshrew I know does lower level words (like Raven) at around $4/400 Points for example. I can gather more information/art examples of our artists for you if you'd like. ^_^

Ah ok! yeah I totally get the wings on rocks and lamps and such XD He'd be at Level 3 I think, with the word very distinctly "Raven"
He'd be a dark charcoal to inky-black pallet (maybe a little white or brown given some ravens' breeds), very curious and crafty and enjoy mimicking sounds and things
I'd probably go with the feathering on the arms, maybe a teeny bit on the rump just above the tail; I feel like since it doesn't seem like much of the species flies, he'd probably just climb around
As for artists I'm not entirely sure, I don't want to disturb anybody ;v;

I am a dumb dumb, it is 5 points to 1 ink essentially. We have the ratio like that to encourage people drawing to gain currency! Anyway, Aquila is around currently- I know Taming is a bit busy tonight.
