This is really smile-inducing. I like how your style looks sorta like the original pokemon canon but also has a personal touch to it, so I can tell it came from you. The characters' poses and facial expressions are appealing and make the drawing look balanced. I love how they look as if they're ready to take on the world.

I draw everything on a tablet using a digital brush that mimics the look of pencil.

Also, my tablet is getting on my nerves. The calibration is a bit off. ASDGHDHAGFHDFEYQFYDY
It's like, the ink shows up about half an inch from the cursor, and is really aggravating to make points with.

I use the amazingly awesome and cheap Paint Tool Sai along with these pencil brushes. (I only use photoshop for fancy stuff like panels and text nowadays)
And depending on your tablet, you should be able to calibrate that! I use a Wacom and I have a 'Wacom Tablet Properties' utility that came with the driver that I can use to make it play nice whenever it starts to do crap like that. Try Googling the name of your tablet version; that's an awful problem to have to deal with.

SAI is something like $60 to buy the program. (Not quite sure; I'm also too lazy to get my ass on Google.) It gives you a free 30 day trial though, so you can test it out. Doesn't Bamboo Splash come with ArtRage though? I've heard great things about that program.

That is some pretty awesome hair and that's a pretty cool ampharos. I don't think I've checked this nuzlocke out yet. Time to investigate.

These things are cleaned up because I can't bear to give people my actually crappy sketches, also because crappy sketches aren't challenging at all.

Okay, I feel a little better now. My sketches never look even close to that nice. They looks really nice. There is definitely some appeal to leaving things with a sort of sketchy look. My sketches tend to have more personality. There's something aesthetically pleasing about the mild messiness of sketches too.

This is the actual sketch version of this picture, and it's one of the cleaner ones I've done.
I totally understand what you mean about the sketches having more personality! Somehow my pictures die a little whenever I clean them up. it's so weird.
And yeah, I absolutely love 'pretty' sketches in their messiness... someday I will learn how to do that.

I'll never understand why that happens. I have one drawing that I like a lot and want to clean up, but doing so ruins it.
