ZOMG!!!!!!!! I LOVE the way this came out!!!!!! I love the dresses, the jewels, the chandelier(more on that later) the flowers, the way the rug came out.... I. Love. this. picture. If you've noticed, it's in the fan art section, because the inspiration for this came from L.J Smith's The Vampire Diaries: Shadow Souls, Just like [link]
THese are the three main girls from left to right: Merideth, Elena, and Bonnie! In the book, they wear gorgeous dresses to a ball, and I had to draw them!!! I find them super pretty!!!!!! My favorite is Bonnie's, but I like Merideth's too! Elena's didn't come out exactly the way I wanted it too, but hey, It still works!!
On to the chandelier....
To be frank, I love/hate chandeliers.... I love the way they look with all the sparkling crystal, but I HATE drawing them... I'm thinking of drawing a triptych of the three things I love/hate to draw.. What do you think? They would include Chandeliers, lace, and birdcages! Should I draw them? Mebe it would help me get over my hate of them!

i guess i watched all of the first season, but i think the whole reason behind me even doing that was to see how badly they changed it...i only got one great thing out of it and that was tyler smallwoods uncle was freaking hottt! but other than that i only got angry. so i just stopped watching it all together.

Pardon for my commenting but I feel the same way. You just have to enjoy both for their different stories, you don't know what will happen in the show,and it makes it a bit more fun than if it was exactly like the books. And Besides, it just leaves us to create a better one

i like it more when the actors can take a write word and bring it to life though, not change it completely just so it fits Hollywoods' world of drama, but everyone's entitled to their own opinion

I realized that after rereading the series.... I always pictured her as black though, so that's how she came out. Also, I didn't mean for it to come out so dark, but my markers had other ideas.

No, it describes Meridith with darker skin
I do think I did her skin a little to dark, but the book does mention that she has fairly dark skin

I always pictured her with black hair and really pale skin. Probably mistook most of the descriptions of merideth as "dark" or "black" to be describing her hair.
