I was playing Mortal Kombat Armageddon and I went to the Krypt and unlocked this Scorpion holding hands with Sub Zero sketch, I think it's kinda cute. The title of this is called Evil Tower Sketch 1.Related content

So, I actually unlocked this pic in Armageddon but had forgotten about it -- until I was browsing Tumblr for SubScorp content; I personally like this pairing. I wonder what the artist meant hereby.
Is it platonic, or is there a bit more intimate depth involved? It's not that friends can't hold hands, but this pic speaks to me at [certain] volumes (there are many timelines in MK, too). Whatever it means (probably just something cute someone decided to draw), I think it says this: people can find comfort in those who understand their pain, even if, strangely, that person was manipulated into causing it.
Sad, bitter, but sweet.

Maybe it was a foreshadow to MKX? We did see Sub-Zero and Scorpion make amends in the story.

Ahh, that's a good point. It's nice to know that even bitter enemies have a possibility of making amends after so long. Sub-Zero's lines in MK11 certainly paid homage to their newfound friendship. <3

Sub Zero and scorpion fight it out then they find out Quan Shi was the one who killed Scorpions clan so the Ninjas join forces and exact their revenge. They become stuff of legend and Sub Zero and Scorpion now appear to avenge the weak from evils grasp.
