I only support parody recolor videos, because those are made for laughs.
But real recolor videos? They are just lame.

people who recolor are like little kids with a coloring book who draw a bow on a teddy bear and say:

As much as I'm against all these "anti blah blah blah" stamps, I get irritated too by these. Especially when I'm looking through a gallery that's supposed to be of real work, and I keep having to sort through pictures that are just someone's made up characters. I'm sorry, but it's just not art, and nobody really wants to see it.

Recolor? Fine, but either keep it to yourself, or don't try and pass it off as more than it is--an edit of existing work. And more often than not, a craptastic one. >.=.>

It gets worse. There's someone on Youtube who's teaching peopl how to MAKE colorover videos and is having a contest to see who can make the best one. He's practicly saying "It's ok to steal someone elses art, chang the color, and call it your own."
