Biography
Name: Cassiopeia Bruneau
Nicknames: Cass, Cassie
Gender: Female
Birthday: December 5th
Age: 17
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 120lbs
Occupation: N/A
Orientation: Straight
Nationality: French-American (American from her dad's side; her father moved with her grandfather to France before she was born- so she doesn't speak a lot of English)
Super Hero Identity: Calopsitte ("Cockatiel" in French)/ often goes by "Callie"
Powers, Abilities, and Weapons:
Weapon: She has an extendable glider-staff that she uses for gliding/flying (it gets her places pretty fast ;u; ), as well as for self-defense with the sails retracted as a staff. She's either holding it or keeping it tucked under her belt~
Power: Much like Ladybug's Miraculous contains the power of Creation, Calopsitte represents the Power of Light, demonstrated mostly through her Special Power.
Special Power: "Shooting Stars": Calopsitte can summon bright beams of light from the sky that take on the appearance of shooting stars and can temporarily blind the opponent. As usual for Miraculous holders, after using the attack she has only five minutes, divided between three intervals of time each indicated by a gem on her brooch's glow going out (by the way, the gems are only on the brooch when it's activated), before she automatically transforms back in those three periods of time. So basically, she has to glide on out of wherever she is before time's up.
Enhanced Agility: She's very lithe and flexible as Calopsitte; she can't really depend on strength, though, for that falls out of the "agility" category.
Personality:
+Open-hearted
+Patient; open-minded to different perspecitives
+Mature when need be
+Dedicated/ takes responsibilities seriously. However, she also finds her duty as a superhero very fun and exciting, a chance to be free, even though it can be overwhelming sometimes, though)
+-She is protective over those close to her; her family comes first, and sometimes it's hard for her to find the balance between her two identities when she's around them; sometimes, she just wants to tell them everything to make things easier and better, and she regrets having to hide her true identity from them. Her importance in family also comes before anything- and with her role as a superhero introduced, so she often encounters prioritization dilemmas also when both need attention.
-She's not as strong, emotionally or physically, as she is when she's Calopsitte (who thankfully has average strength for a superhero). It gets in the way of things a lot, especially regarding her confidence in herself (only on good days is it empowering and inspiring of her own internal strength).
-Internally vulnerable and rather private; on the inside, she can actually become very stressed or overwhelmed, but instead of reaching out she usually tends to bottle it in and sort of just cries about whatever's got her down on her own. Starr is always there to comfort her, though.
-Secretly afraid of confrontation (but she never wants to admit this to herself); this is why she never outright tells her sister (who you'll read about below) to just get her life together, and just sucks it up and helps her out when she's in trouble instead.
-Just a teensy bit awkward, especially at introductions. Her ability at making first impressions sucks.
History:
Cassiopeia was born in a rural household in Western France until she moved to Paris at the age of 6, when her father got a job in the city as a business manager (up until that point, her father would drive an hour to and from a nearby city where he worked in business). She has an older sister, who unfortunately not having been able to grow up for the most part in a stable household tends to get herself in a lot of trouble (don't be thinking gangs or anything, just love-wise haha), so Cass has to help on the rare event of something happening because of that, from giving her a ride home after a bad breakup to rescuing her drunk from a bar, always having to become a little more mature than the usual 17 year old at those times (she's not exactly hesitant to help, but it's always a little bit of a stressful situation).
Outside of her household, her grandfather from her father's side, who still lives in Western France, was an anti-Vietnam activist, and his stories from the past have always inspired her- and she's happy to be able to use that inspiration in her life her as a superhero.
Despite her apparently crazy home life, (*cough* her sister), she actually lives a pretty normal and stable life aside from her work, even as a superhero, and loves to be happy and enjoy her free time and normal part of her home life.
Likes:
-Being outside and looking at the sky
-Free time to relax
-History stories, visiting her grandparents and other family
-Corny paranormal romance novels (it's her guilty pleasure, so don't tease her about it!~)
-Helping people
-Her kwami
-Animals, especially birds~
-Creamy foods/drinks ;w;
Dislikes:
-Rainy days
-Freezing cold
-Deceptive/judgy/hateful people
-Overly bold/blunt/audacious people
-Being confined in small spaces/rooms for long periods of time *cough school cough* ((but she deals with it))
-Bitter tastes (she cannot stomach coffee, for example, without milk, and lots of it)
-People who judge her sister/ troubled people in general
-Math.
Relationships
Kwami Name: Starr
Personality: Starr is very shy, jittery, sweet, and peppy. She's often confused about the real world, and doesn't know much about it past fighting evil and her role as a Kwami; so she loves attention and always asks Cassiopeia questions about the world when something she doesn't understand comes up. She also cares a lot about Cassiopeia and is there for her when she's upset. AAANNDD she ends every single sentence she says with a little cockatiel tweet/whistle (and has a stutter because even when she's shy, she's gets too excited when she starts talking), and powers up on sunflower seeds, which Cassiopeia is sure to carry around in her bag even though she isn't a big fan of them. She absolutely loves to whistle along to Cassiopeia's iPod and every song that happens to play (and, on days when she's extra happy, even in public places like the grocery store which makes it difficult for Cassie to keep her quiet).
History with Kwami: One apparently normal night, Cassiopeia was walking to her car from school after a late make-up exam (which she missed being sick the week before) when she got a phone call from her sister, Deanie. Immediately, her sister's voice sounded panicked into the phone when Cassie picked up, telling her that her boyfriend of the time had tried to abuse her (this wasn't the first time that's happened, though), and she managed to hide from him in his closet at his place when he wasn't looking. She was afraid to move, lest she get even more hurt or abused than she had been. Cassie, not quite used to sister drama this huge but not exactly surprised, didn't hesitate to demand the address. She darted into her truck, keyed the engine, and sped all the way to the address, her GPS on high volume, ignoring the police cars that noticed her from a distance and turned on their alarms (luckily, none of them were close enough to start chasing her). By the time she got to the place, it had begun to rain slightly, and she met her sister where she was told to at the side window of the one-story house. She could hear her sister's boyfriend (who she never really met) calling Deanie's name, teasing her, indicating to Cassiopeia Cassiopeia that her sister was still hiding. Her sister soon crawled out afterwards. She was a mess. Cassiopeia took her jean jacket and put it over her sister, and together they ran back to her truck; and Cassiopeia was able to drive away just before Deanie's boyfriend came out of his house. It goes without saying that that was one of the most dangerous situations her sister had put her in, even though there is still no telling whether her sister overreacted or not. On occasion Deanie still needs her help, but rarely and definitely not as much as that time.
Later that night, after she got home safe and sound, Cassiopeia went back to her car to retrieve her jacket, which her sister had left on her car floor under the seat on the drive back. Not only did she find the jacket, but she also found a little polished yellow, orange, white and gray box as well. Confused, she opened it, and found an unfamiliar triple feather-shaped brooch inside. Out of curiosity, she fastened it onto her shirt, intending to run back to the house afterwards and focus on it later, but then Starr appeared! Needless to say Cass was very confounded to learn about her new life thereafter, that she was now a Miraculous holder in the place of Ladybug and Chat Noir who had been gone for a long time. Of course, she started out very clumsy as a Miraculous holder, and she's still sort of getting the hang of it. After all, being a superhero needs a lot of experience, even though Cassiopeia has come far.

Partner's Name: TBA. She's definitely open to have one though, it just has to be the right one!
History with Partner:
-------------
Significant Other: None! ... Yet :3
Relatives:
Mother:
Works as an accountant and part-time jewelry maker. She's very kind and loving to Cassie, but is always pressing encouraging her to work her hardest in school just like the typical mom.
Father:
Very businessman-like, and when Cass was growing up -since he didn't have much time around her because of having to travel an hour a day for his work- when he did get to see her, he would always make most of his time with his daughter (she always remembers him taking her out to ice cream when she was little).
Grandparents:
Her grandfather was an anti-Vietnam activist in America in the '60s. He is very funny and quirky, but also wise and loving, always with s good story on hand to tell. He lives in rural Western France with Cassie's Grandmother, who Cassie is always sure to call once a week to talk about her life.
Deanie (Older sister, age 19):
Deanie is a wild child, to say the least. As was previously mentioned, Cassiopeia's older sister, who lives in a nearby apartment and goes to a community college during the day and night clubs every other night, is always getting into trouble in her love life, always meeting a guy who either ends up cheating on her or being borderline dangerous (and, in that one case that one fateful night, might have actually been dangerous). According to Cassiopeia (though she'll never tell her this seriously or more than a tease, even though it is really her opinion), Deanie's luck is so bad that she should just give up finding a boyfriend in person altogether, or maybe she could just find one at some nerdy college club- not a night club. If she should keep looking at all.

Extra Info-Cassiopeia was named after the constellation! In fact, her Miraculous resembles its "W"-like shape.
-She drives a red pickup truck- but her favorite color is light blue.
-When she transforms, she says, "Starr, it's time to shine!"
-Her Miraculous is super conspicuous, so despite the spell that keeps people from recognizing her she usually keeps it in her pocket if she can't hide it under her shirt on an undershirt, or under a jacket, and puts it on whenever she needs it, just in case. She doesn't have a wide variety of fashion, anyway, so she doesn't mind having to always wear a jacket.
-As for her connection to the cockatiel, the creature she represents, she used to have one who she'd always play with; and she loves looking at the sky for comfort.
-Sometimes, she would transform into Calopsitte and go sit on some roof at sunrise/sunset/dusk. Especially when she's upset, or just wants to relax.
-She wants to study history in college, and wants to become fluent in English (with American background, she's decent in it, but she's still learning of course)
-She vividly remembers hearing about Ladybug's and Chat's disappearance on the news. She was watching it with her sister at a cafe on an overhead TV. She read more about it all throughout that day on her phone.
