Poor Connie, well at least she's gonna die in a really cool outfit. It's gonna be really awkward for Greg to explain Connie's death to her parents, he can probably leave out the part where Paul decided to throw on her old 80s ensemble and go balls to the wall apeshit on the girl's first day of sword training.

This is another one that I had on the back burner for a while. Summer was 100% dog piss for me, moving out is never ever fun, but being forced out was worse. So I'm going to salvage what little time I have left in my brake doing what I should've been doing from the beginning of summer, ART!!! Since my obligations have settled for the time being, I can sit down, rest and do what I enjoy.

But anyway, I imagine that if Pearl wasn't a good teacher and was severely ignorant of the capabilities of human beings, the outcome would be something like this. You can argue (as the responsible individual that you are) that it was irresponsible for Earl to train Connie in the first place, because you know, swords, danger, the possibility of ...ummmm... DEATH! But Pearl is an alien, and all she knows about humans is that Greg stole her girl and they live a measly eighty years (if they eat the right type of that disgusting .....food stuff, ew!). So naturally, pearl wouldn't have the level of concern for this child's safety as her parents do. Dr. M damn near had a heart attack when she found the sword Connie was practicing with, if Connie's mom had a song, it wouldn't be "do it for him", instead, it would be about doing your homework and going to college and wouldn't have anything to do with sword fights, right feet or left feet, battlefields or dying. The song would be "Do it for exceptional grades so that you can go to any college you want on a full scholarship and graduate with honors so that you can choose a stable job and become a productive member of society because the economy isn't very good right now and a good job will help you afford car insurance because no daughter of mine is taking the bus."

Doesn't have the same ring to it does it?

So yeah, Connie's parents are a little overprotective and pearl is a nightmare.
