Well my friends, the future is here!
Here's Connie at age 28 3/4, and Steven, age 30.
So this counts as my first official Steven Universe fan art on this website, I think it turned out pretty well. For the parts that I didn't draw, the background and the screenshots up top are from the Steven universe wiki, so I guess credit goes to Rebecca Sugar on them. I basically did this so I can test out my new comic book creating software that I received not too long ago. I hope to utilize it to the best of my abilities to create comics and such works faster than ever.
But anyway, not too long ago I watched an episode of Steven universe entitled Steven's Birthday. I thought of how tragic it would be if Steven's eternal youth horrifically stagnated the course of Connie and Steven's relationship. It's a little too early to say now, but judging by the manly beard Stevens got coming in , I think my newest head cannon will remain just that. Besides, I don't think the writers of Steven Universe would be so callous as to leave Steven as a pudgy pile of wide-eyed optimism for the rest of eternity, but I've been wrong before.

Everyone in Steven's life treats him like a kid, that's why he still is one. He needs a new emotional attachment to grow up. That's what Connie's for; he will grow up with her.

I just wanted my spin to have a bit more of an explanation to it. This is probably something Peridot will tell him when the gems get curious on why he is aging at certain points in his life.

That's fine, it's understandable not wanting to see Steven out of character, you're entitled to your opinion. I guess it's kind like the way I feel anytime the fans ship Steven and Paridot. The reason why is because the pairing is so illogical and unlikely that it baffles me more than anything else. Now, I can appreciate a good crack pairing for the sake of a joke or satire, but their people are diehard Stevidot shippers. It drives me insane! Β
