Reminds me of a thing I did back in 6th grade art class. Well, reminds me of the reference I used. O_O I wish I could actually make something this awesome. I'm working towards it someday, I guess.

Teach me your landscape skills, master!

Just a general question: Do you start painting in grey scale and then colorize it using a multiply layer or do you directly paint in hue and value on the same layer? I know everyone paints differently, but if I decide to try a master study with your work it will be helpful to understand your method as well.

When I do a master study I usually go straight to color, but I have saturation layer filled with black on top to check my values. When I do chars I usually start with bw, and then color it with different layers, not just multiply.
