Hehe..I hate it when I go to comment and there is a comment from Sean, above, as he gives good comment and everyone else's pail into insignificance...
I think this is gorgeous...the dark background really enhances the delicate pink of the petals...Its so sharp, too. I believe this flower is called an echinacea

That's so beautiful. I adore the colour of the flower, it's such a soft pink - I absolutely love it. The focus is fantastic - very crisp around the edge of the pedals which really brings this photo up to a higher level. The lighting is quite spectacular on this as well really giving a magical glow to all of the little erm... things on the ball at the centre of the flower (for lack of a better term ). The dark background was definitely the way to go with this as I love how well the green stem & pink contrasts & also the little bit of pink at the very top of the frame really draws the eye into this
Well done!

Thanks! Wow, you're really going back with this one - it was one of the first pictures I took with my camera. I walked down to Granville Island from Lense and Shutter, along the beach. That was the day, incidentally, that I moved out of my old basement suite in Vancouver. 👍: 0 ⏩: 1
