Description
This... is one of those things I think I may regret updating in the morning but----look at the date scribbled in the low-middle section of the pic.Now look at it again and believe it.
I started airbrushing this thing 3 years ago. Then circumstances forced me to drop it. I tentatively worked on it on and off for a few months, before this got tucked away and forgotten when there was that mess with my PC.
Yesterday I spied it, and decided it was high time I finished it.
I quickly put a wash of colour on the blank parts, and here we are.
Also, I feel like a should mention that Mega's child-who-got-his-favourite-toy-broken-by-a-meanie expression was made on purpose. It seemed fitting, at the time.

Io li adoro. β₯

...come dicevo su Tumblr: STO INDIETRO CON LE RISPOSTE. Γ§.Γ§
;DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Ah, thank you so much for your lovely words!
This one's been a labour of love, in every sense of the word. I had to postpone it so many times, but now I'm happy I could finally release it.
And I'm glad fellow Protomen fans and Rockman fans are liking it.

Truly now? Can I ask which one it is?
This wasn't inspired by anything in particular, though I'd been hoped it looked a bit Blade Runner-ish.

This is awesome! I love Proto's army coat look in the upper left. And this is a great treatment of that scarf that makes it seem much more reasonable than a lot of designs--a big yellow scarf can be an awkward thing to incorporate into a more gritty/realistic costume, but you've done a great job with it. Thanks for sharing, this is really cool!

Thank you!
I've been meaning to draw Proto with a coat for a while. I think the military look suits him, just as the "street" clothes seem to suit Mega, at least in my mind.
Also, glad to know you like how I handled the scarf!

The sketchy feel of the artwork really lends feeling to the narrative going on in it. Much love for this.

Oh, it's been too long to remember the actual line that inspired that particular picture, but the scene takes place sometime during the dialogue at the beginning "The Sons of Fate". Whenever I imagine the fight in detail (usually for the purpose of drawing the comic pages I'm so behind in producing /fail), I imagine Mega holding back, and actually being slammed against a wall and subsequently falling on his knees, where he shouts the "We both know they'll never fight!!" line. I then imagine Proto looming over him as he explains: "You finally get it..." etc.
So I suppose that part of the blame for those particular poses and camera placement goes to that part.
The look on Mega's face, however, ties in more to the "I will not fight you!" part.
I think--no, I know from what the Protomen tell us, that Mega looked up to his brother. Hero-worshipped him in the literal sense of the word. Finding out that: a)he's been lied to by his father; b)Proto is actually Wily's commander, so not the hero of his "childhood", but someone with bloody hands; c)Proto won't change his mind; d) that he's ready to fight Mega without a care, and e)that men never really care about their once-hero, quite literally sent Mega into... shock, I guess. :/
I also tend to imagine Mega as a mentally young/innocent robot, no matter the universe. Hence that broke, teary look on his face.
...oops, wall of text. Sorreeh.

I love your art style to pieces! >W< You also drew a comic of the song Vengeance before, right? It inspired a musical revue script I wrote for the Protomen! Eeeeee~ I can't wait to see more from you!! >W<

I looking forward to help, anyway I can. :3 A Protomen musical would be a dream come true. <3
