Description *Pawprints in the sand*

One night a great Tiger had a dream.
It dreamt it was walking along
the jungle with it's Mum.

Across the dark sky flashed scenes from it's life.
For each scene, it noticed
two sets of pawprints in the jungle floor,
one beloning to it and the other to it's Mum.

When the last scene of It's life flashed before it,
it looked back at the pawprints in the jungle.
It noticed that many times along the path of it's life
there was only one set of pawprints.
It also noticed that it happened at the
very lowest and saddest times in it's life.
This bothered the great Tiger, and it questioned it's Mother's spirit about it.

Mom, you said that once I was born and learned to follow you,
you'd walk with me and watch over me all the way,
even when the loud eruptions of the jungle took your body!
But I observed that during the most
troublesome times in my life there is
only one set of pawprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you most
you left me all alone.

It's Mum replied, My precious, precious cub,
I love you and would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
during your times of famine and execution,
when you see only one set of pawprints in the jungle floor,
it was then that I carried you.

the tiger shot is beautiful and the way you changed the words to fit was great. My nan has that poem up in her house and I read it everytime I go there and still I think its beautiful and never tire of reading it.

Very touching poem and image to go with it... Poem actually brought tears to my eyes. The black and white, and then use of colour for the two tigers makes it a gorgeous shot... the poem just adds to the really touching feeling of it all.
