Ah, so that's what the writers of the Star Wars RPG sourcebook 'The Unknown Regions' based Mnggal-Mnggal on... though unless Unity devours its victims from the inside (essentially making them decaying zombies), Mnggal-Mnggal is nastier.

Also,the control was so intricate that if the parasite was attacked,the host would feel the pain.Only heat vision into the parasite`s tendrils or stomach could separate the host from the parasite.
