“Oh, Auntie Shy!“
Fluttershy giggled as the young draconequus in front of her leaned forward. Lumina stared with wide golden and violet eyes that held yet another curious question for the day. After a sip of her tea, the pegasus smiled warmly in response.
“Yes Lumi?”
“Have you ever seen a snow leopard before? Papa says I’m part snow leopard,” she gestured down to her white legs dotted with rosettes, wiggling the toes of one paw, “So um... just how fast can a snow leopard run?”
Fluttershy’s expression lit up, more than eager to answer another animal-related inquiry.
“Well I only spent a little bit of time with snow leopards at a big cat sanctuary, but if I remember correctly, they can run up to 36 miles per hour! Faster than the average pony!”
Lumina gasped in delight, her eyes practically shining. “Really?!”
“Really!”
“What about doves?”
Fluttershy didn’t miss how the filly’s white wing ruffled slightly behind her, anticipating an answer.
“Up to 55 miles per hour!”
“NO WAY!”
A loud, hearty laugh filled the air, and both mares glanced over at the third member of the tea party, sitting next to Lumina. Discord sat back in his seat with a tea cup in his paw, shining a grin at the two.
“Oooh two of my favorite ladies, getting along so well! Why didn’t I think of this before?!”
His laugh died down, abruptly replaced with a frown and a wrinkled nose. “Oh right, you’re usually with dear Celestia and boring dignitary ponies when our tea parties happen….”
Lumina giggled madly as two of the sandwiches on the table came to life with a snap of discord’s talons. They bickered in exaggerated, high-pitched voices resembling that of the talkative dignitary ponies she had met a few times now.
“Not all the time, Papa! Mother gives me lessons on magic and being a princess most of the time!”
“‘Mother’, she says!” Discord groaned, dragging his hands down his face, somehow elongating his head. “Are you listening to this, Fluttershy? She’s all...proper already!”
Fluttershy and Lumina laughed, and as the laughter died down, the young mixed draconequus focused on Fluttershy once more.
“This is so much fun!” she exclaimed, smiling as bright as the sun she represented. “Your place is so nice, Auntie Shy! And you know so much! OH um-”
Remembering her manners, the smaller draconequus sat up straight, addressing Fluttershy with a pleasant smile, as her mother had taught her. “Thank you for having me…!”
Fluttershy giggled, waving at her with a hoof. “Oh it’s nothing, sweetie. It’s always such a joy seeing you, and now we get to talk over tea!”
“And hopefully it’ll stay that way!” Discord huffed over-dramatically, crossing his arms. “I just might have to have an ever-so-serious talk with your mother about leaving your fridays open for our tea time…!”
As Discord dropped his serious facade and gave his daughter a wink, Lumina gaped.
“Really?” she turned to Fluttershy, nearly bursting with joy. “Can I?”
“Why of course, Lumi-EEP!”
Not even a second after the pegasus had spoken these words, Lumina had teleported beside her, throwing her arms around Fluttershy’s neck.
“Oh thank you, thank you so much!”
With a blink, Lumina just as quickly teleported back to her seat, grinning sheepishly.
“Oops, um...sorry.” she murmured, using her magic to grab her tea cup with a golden glow and give it a quick, embarrassed sip.
Fluttershy and Discord chuckled and exchanged amused looks, knowing their tea parties were going to get a lot more interesting.

This idea was inspired by the episode "Discordant Harmony", which was a really great episode for Discord!
Because of Discord's and Fluttershy's close friendship, I pondered over Fluttershy's relationship with Lumina.
So; when Lumina was born, Discord named Fluttershy her honorary aunt (title suggested by my friend Webs). Years later Discord decided to bring his daughter along to his weekly tea parties with Fluttershy, and from then on Lumina (eagerly) came along to visit Fluttershy every week.
After this first visit and asking about animals relating to her own appearance, Lumina continued asking more questions about the animals Fluttershy cared for, being a Draconequus that loved to learn. The princess grew fascinated of each animals' habits and history and just how different yet amazing they can be. Fluttershy was always happy to share what she knew and was very fond of young Lumina's curiosity. Lumina, too, loved her sweet and kind Auntie Shy.
