Description
So yeah, here's the concept for my August journal design. If I could design any journal CSS without worrying about any coding, This is what it would look like. It's my entry to *ginkgografix 's eCSSellence Contest , which is one of my only chances to get this thing coded properly.I kept everything clean and simple, making sure not to have anything that would distract the reader from the content (heh, you DID read it!). It allows room for plenty of text and a bunch of thumbs. I'm pretty sure that the blur of the text to create a glow effect is possible through coding, though I'm not sure if the blur behind the glass effect is possible. The background is a stock from sxc.hu to which I made some color and levels adjustments.
Public or private... uhm... I'm going to go with public in order to make everyone happy.

I love this layout! You picked a very nice colour scheme to work from, it has a nice harmonic balance. Also the links on the right is not distracting the reader from the important content in the journal, which I like very much.

i'm sure the coding's going to take a while judging from the comments about it being in the process of re-coding. Let me know when it's up and I'll trade a feature with you for the code

I'm using your code and for some reason the links for the journal comments and previous journal entries isn't functioning properly. Is it possible that you could check out how to fix that?

Huh, works fine here... I noticed you slightly edited the CSS. Maybe something went wrong there; would you want to try taking the original code and redoing the changes, being sure not to touch anything under ".journalbottom"?
If redoing the changes still don't work, using the original code should work fine.

Ok I put in the original CSS code and your credit the way you placed it in the journal entry file and everything is working fine. Thanks for the additional help.

As soon as I get my subscription back so that I can get to the CSS section of the journal. Can't release it without the CSS.

aawww noo, I love it! goes so well with my current wallpaper, and where I feel like being right now!!!
You could hand the css over to me for testing if u wanted [i don't take credit for things that aren't mine - I hate that, and people that do it - hell look at my gallery; anywhere where somebody else even had the slightest hand in helping create whatever it is, I've credited]

Thanks, and yeah... the person who said he wanted to code it differently apparently isn't going to code it anymore. So it should be downloadable in maybe... a week.

I adore the "clear" background for the text. And the colors are perfect. Noticeable but not too harsh on the eyes!

Yeah, it's done through CSS coding. If you know CSS pretty well, look at some free journal templates and see how they're structured, and then you'll get an idea of how to do it. [link] always helps too.
