Bonding
One of most unique aspects of the hatasi is their alliances with humans through the ritual called the bonding. To bond is defined as
To create a psychical and psychological alliance between a hatasu and a human or humanoid - often simply called "the royal" since hatasi tend to choose to ally with people of royal bloodlines - where the subjects mix their five personal spirits together thereby sharing their life energy, magical abilities together with inner and/or outer control where both partners will benefit greatly for the shared abilities such as protection, stronger magical enlightenment, older age, power and health.
In short to bond with a "royal" the hatasu will give a part of themselves to the other. The bonding benefit both parts
