Okay yesterday was a cheat day I am sorry hear me out:
I am home for a short break since today and Monday is Danish holidays (yes, again XD) so yesterday I got to spend some quality time with my sister binge watching '13 Reasons Why' season 2 - and no this ISN'T INSPIRED BY THE SHOW - I was so tempted to either a) make this into the protagonists or b) save this for another day but I stood my ground and decided to keep to the plan I had before suddenly spending more time with my sister than with a pencil yesterday XD

I started getting this idea for at least 7 years ago - I got the idea of two mirrors somewhere in the world would be connected so whatever you did on one side of the mirror, if there was another person on the other side, they would be affected and not you. This girl is having a tough day so she wants to cut away the pain. What she doesn't know is that just this one day a boy if washing his face on the other side of the mirror. First she cuts very gentle and the boy thinks it is a mosquito biting him at the wrist. When nothing happens the girl cuts deeper and the boy crumples in a sudden pain. The girls gets frustrated that it isn't working so she starts going berserk cutting herself all over. The poor boy on the other side is screaming in agony getting more and more bloody for all the cuts he gets out of nowhere. Somehow the boy and girl meet at the end when the girl finally gives up and lays down the blade and goes out to her front door. She gets a huge shock when seeing the bloody mess of a boy. They only have to get a few seconds of eye contact before the girl realises she did this to him and she is ashamed because for the first time she sees how her actions affects others.

Such a happy, healthy imagination you have as a teenager, right ?

Bonus: it was first THIS YEAR I realised the lyrics literally say: cutting each other without even knowing - it must have been stuck in my mind unconsciously when developing this story or something O.O
