Page 2 of the last Heroes story I did, featuring a new character, Piper, and Sanjog from 'History of a Secret'. I had fun with the weird dream sequence panel...I'm planning to do more stuff like that in the future

Thanks! The idea wasn't exactly mine...The writer of this story(and my good friend) J.T. Krull suggested that the dream form out of the blankets on her bed, so I can't take credit, but it was a good idea huh?

If you mean the panel that has the UFO lights, then yes and no...You probably remember it from a piece that I did at the Kubert school. It had a dude surrounded by trees looking up at a UFO. I didn't actually look at it while drawing this one, but I definitely did it the same on purpose

I like the idea here...my only critique thus far would be that the dream portion of the first panel, the way the two trees have darker outlines, make it look like a cube coming out of where she is laying. I think that that might go away when you color it, though

Yeah, you're probably right. I was trying to create a sense of depth within panel 2, but there's probably a better way I could have done it.

I was just a bot worried about the square-ish shape. I think it will recede once you color it, though. I understood what you were trying to do, and I have never seen it done quite that way before. It's difficult to do a fresh take on a dream panel, as it has been done many times before. I think this will look great in the end. Sometimes dreams do blur into reality, at least for the time in between being asleep and awake.

No, I definitely see your point...It would have been cool to have done some crazy twisted looking trees(which would have eliminated the square look), but the script specified that they were supposed to be Redwoods. I've seen the color version up on nbc.com and it didn't look too squarish because the colorist made the trees kind of melt into the blanket. Thanks for the comments
