Its not a black pencil, just normal pencil lead.

So then its just darkened and cleaned right?Forgive me,im just learning how to draw better.

Yup, its normal pencils, drawn clean and then darkened and cleaned up using photoshop.

Hah - I am a sucker for maps, and it makes a nice backdrop here - but she stands out and looks fantastic. Love the hair and expression.
