Description Back from Halloween Horror Nights 17, ye gods my calves hurt.

Anyhow, yet again... I look as though I've been sucking on a lemon. Let me set up the situation... last year, Fixter my better and more unstable half got me into one of these photo things after getting two stare downs by the Caretaker... which lead to an image of well...

[link]

That.

This year, we're standing in a 75 minute wait for Nightmare on Elm Street - Dreamwalkers...

Which, by the way, awesome house - though I always have a special place in the sub-cockle area of my heart for Friday the 13th's Camp Blood...

RAWROMG Jason shows up from hiding spot in house!
The Micer says...
"Hug?"
Jason cocks head and pokes machete in my direction.
"Hug?"
Nother poke. I hang head, drop arms ala Cass.
"No hug... only death." Heavy sigh and shuffle away.
Get snarled into the ear by the Jason. Joy!

....when "Oh look, they have the photo op! It's with Jack!"

Fast forward 90 or so minutes of shuffling, watching the drunk blond in front of us stagger around and snitch three more beers off her boy-toy, and dear ole Fixter giving me a poke, telling him my name... just... like... effing... last... year, Jack snarling a 'Waddayawant?' at me, a hard grab and viola - the image you see.

Though I feel better, Fixter got his and got a shove on the back of the neck and a loud 'Scat'

Anyhoooooo, enjoy!

Danke!

I have a friend that's the same way, she'd rather do Mickey than try HHN. Sadly, I'm always the bait in the houses, usually I get a couple of glow sticks hung on my pack, and get stuck dead front in the group for the scare actors.

Just means you have something to look forward to when you finally do get the gall to try out Universal! ^_^

Yeah true through I was brave enought to go in the Unveral house of Horrors in Calforina although I did had a hold on to my dad to go through it but it defeinly was a lot of fun to do, it helped I watched what it was liked on youtube so I already got a sort of taster of what the horror nights are like. Funny enought I like horror films but perfeal the old univeral black white classics to the more moderen blood and gore horror films, Throguh saying that I do enjoy the Japnease Godzilla fims throgh more Sci fi the oruignal one is a horror film as well, the killer tomatoes series , Beetjuice , Germlins. I also like the Mummy films with Bradon Frazier and the remake of the wolfman/ However I did mange to see the remake of a Nightmare on elm st

Nothing wrong with liking the classics! I'm a child of the 80's so the goofy horror shlock is my bread and butter ^_^

But the black and whites have their charm, it was easier to get scared over something like the Wolfman or The Creature because of that simplicity of building up the tension and scenes, the horror was implied. The story was the draw, not like now where it's well over the top, gallons of blood and graphic detail as they dispose of each cardboard cutout of a blurred demographic.

Godzilla always rocked, just something about a guy stomping around a miniature set of Tokyo makes my day.

This is absolutely hilarious. You look like you're just really overjoyed to meet Jack. Or that he's about to throttle you.

BTW, did you have any engaging conversation with him, or did he give you a rather snide comment? Do tell...

From what I remember, I think it was a snide comment, he's never been the chattiest of scare actors during my visits. But his were always the busiest times too...

There's been more interaction between the Director and the Caretaker, the actors really get into the role and respond back, like the one shot I got with the Director, complimented him on his films, got a bow of the head in return. Another one, was an offer for... private... casting. >_>;

Caretaker, yes, he's friggin tall... like, taller than Fixter tall, and looms, but he talks to you, offers up a smirk akin to something like 'Oh how quaint, it knows how to put sentences together.' when you respond and looks like he's about to pat you on the head... followed by chloroform and a hasty dissection.

Jack though, through the years - throws insults, snarls a feck-ton and takes swings and grabs. Guess he's a hard character to get into, kinda like a Chucky mindset, gotta balance between psycho, ego and hanging very much off the edge humor. Best portrayal I saw, to be honest, was in that welcoming show.

I was overjoyed to meet him. Though wish Fixter would stop telling them my name, there's just something very wrong about a clown growling 'Michelle' in a very 'come hither' sort of way.

Sounds fun. Now I'm really looking forward to HHN next year. ^^ Yeesh...sounds like Jack was-ahem-eager to meet you. Come hither...what's that mean again? Doesn't sound right...

...hm, how can I put it...

Imagine a real nice looking girl, clad in very skimpy nightie, sitting up on a bed and crooking her finger at you, you know, that 'Come here, come closer' kinda motion you do with your index finger?

Got that image solid up in your head?

Good. Replace it with Jack and you have a very wrong sort of 'Come hither' going on >_<;

OHHHH...that. Oookkkaayy I guess he really WAS EAGER to meet you. Now that I imagine it, it does sound wrong.

But overall, I really enjoy looking at your pictures from HHN. It always sounds like a fantastic little adventure when you meet the characters. I hope I can get to experience something like that one day .
